Should we try to get to the southern huts now? There's a lake in the way.
I have to run.

FWIW to the lurkers, I agree with novice's scouting route. Next 10 turns should give plenty of information of potential city sties, provided barbs don't screw us up too much.

Turn 10. We found dtay, and Caledorn, Mardoc, Molach, Nakor, HitAnyKey, wetbandit, Qgqqqqq, plako or Dhal founded Buddhism.
Renamed civs are annoying. How do I see what civ they're playing?
From the pitboss portal I can see that dtay's playing Ethiopia (Oromo Warrior, Stele, Hunting/Mining).
I have to run.

By the way, dtay has not had any score increases yet so I guess he has a hunting food resource and is teching bronze working.
I have to run.

If so that's a pretty fast start, can easily double whip a worker by T20...

dtay is playing Mao, so EXP/PRO. To me that means 2 workers via a slave from size 2. If he had a 5 food or greater tile that's a worker eot T11, grow to 2 eot T17, revolt to slavery and slave a worker t21, or maybe t20 depending on resource type and location. Then regrow and get a settler. If he has 2 pasture food, then he could easily grow to 3 prior to a slave, and that would be more like grow to size 3 eot T20-T21 and a second worker eot T24. I think we're at a worker eot T14 and a second worker eot T29 for comparison?
I don't see how dtay can do anything else if he does have pasture resources. He can't get a quick settler, getting the second worker works out quicker if he has forests to chop.

OK, so this is likely the last time I'll be able to reliably comment on the turn until 4/4/14. 11-63 looks to be the only path open, but the sheep hill is enclosed on so many sides by forests and jungles that I'm not certain it's ideal, and it means that in 2 turns the scout would be on an unprotected tile.
