Shocking, CH actually offered a possibly reasonable peace deal. I thought for sure he was going to offer white peace and then rage when eastway wasn't willing to accept that now that eastway has the upper hand.

I feel kind of bad for him, but on the other hand so many of his problems are self-inflicted. It's just ridiculous that he batted around a dozen or so peace offers with eastway, including ones eastway proposed which offered gold, and in the end he held out for so long that he had to give up two cities (both with academies too, IIRC). It's like those people who resist offers to buy out their property, perpetually hoping for a better bargain, until the market finally collapses and they're left in a bad way.
Just one academy I think, the one he was originally going to build at the FP area he moved to Miasma Woods.

I believe we just missed out on a change to see the massively steampunk sight of Preatorians with cannon.

Wow...just wow. Is this why people don't report? So their mistakes don't get ravaged in the lurker thread?
I'll be honest, I expected a lot more negativity on my outburst than I did my actual play (especially from a certain person). I realize I was playing horribly (and I mean horribly) early, but I feel like my play certainly got better later--granted at that point I had already lost, but it helped me survive until the end. I don't even know if Twinkletoes's attack would have wiped me out--he almost certainly takes Caldisla, but I think it takes most of his troops to do so.

Don't feel too bad about it CH, lurker threads can easily be brutal and mistakes get noted more often than good decisions (and sometimes not really in a constructive way either). I did not follow this game too closely, but my gut feeling is (kind of like you said) that it's true that many things went wrong in the first half of the game, but second half was already played on a different level. Plus at least I always appreciate when people fight until the end.
