Directions....I'm moving the scout in a counter-clockwise circle around the capital. I'll have precise directions once turn 2 rolls and my borders pop. smile

Just played my second turn of the evening jive and the scout revealed what may well become my capital:

On the grasshill 1S of the Rice looks damn sexy with only 1/2 it's fat cross revealed. smile

I'm going to move the scout onto the forested grass hill with the c? sign on turn 3, then southwards. Exact path depends on what I see next turn.

Plans have changed slightly so I'll be good to cover until early Saturday morn. Which is just as well given that I need one more turn in order to give specific directions.

Cool. If you want to simply rule with an iron fist, don't feel pressured to give up the reins...I can 'forget' to play if need be.

turn 3 done.

scout moves 1, 7 on turn 4. 3,2 on turn 5. 3,1 on turn 6. After that, probably one more turn towards the SW should clear the fog over that region and it'll be time to head back east to explore south of the capital.

Dot map still in state of flux. Hoping for some non shitty luxury resources. smile

I going to guess we're on a doughnut shaped main continent with some resource islands in the centre.

3 south of the capital may be a good second city site. No inner ring food, but I can steal the FPH from the capital to start a work boat here while the borders pop. If I don't need a road for trade connection I'll improve the cows and finish settler at size 3 instead of building a road and finishing settler at size 2. Its 2t slower to build the settler and 3t slower to found second city and requires fishing.

Ok, can do. If the turns go fast enough to have the worker complete, he'll start scouting eastward, right?

Ok, seriously, I doubt more than three turns pass by the time you return. So I won't worry about it.

Quick testing shows a city 3,3,3 of the Capital sets up nicely and provides a solid commerce boost. It does need a road connection but AH/wheel/fishing/mining/bronze gets me bronze eot 39 and pottery with a pair of incoming settler whips t45ish. smile

In the event that the worker finishes, it should begin farming the Wheat.
If AH finishes, Wheel next.
