log in play, unpause to make an action and immediately repause after said action. Rinse and repeat until your turn is ended. Do not let it run down IMO.

If you keep it paused while you're thinking I expect you can play in five minutes, so I don't see why you shouldn't go ahead and play.

I also checked, and was able to get to the login screen (didn't bother logging in though, since last time I couldn't even get that far. So I think things are good on my end again too.

You can actually issue move and worker orders while the game is paused. Unpause, repause and you are done. You might need a Ctrl-A (execute queued orders) in between the unpause and the repause.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.
