Just watched the yellow card / penalty in the Brazil / Netherlands game. Why was the Dutch player going off at the ref? He won the penalty. Was he complaining that it wasn't a penalty and he was angry that the ref didn't play advantage?
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It should have been a red card, according to the rules. Though possibly just a free kick, if the offense happened outside the penalty area.
If you know what I mean.

Though the red card for professional foul is terrible and yellow and a penalty is a better and more appropriate punishment in 95% of cases.

This definitely was a red and a DFK by the letter of the law, though.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Thanks smile.

The best team won it this year... and thankfully no penalty kicks.

Two in a row on that count, though this final was thoroughly more enjoyable than that cynical mess that was the 2010 final.

It was a very nice goal but its a shame they mussed his €120 haircut in the celebration smile.

I've come to expect the final to be a hesitant affair, but totally agree unlike last year both sides actually played football this time around.

The German midfield is young and scary, other than Lahm the defense will return, and Neuer at 32 will still be very good; if they find some strikers over the next four years we could see the first repeat since 1962 Brazil.

Grats Germany. Well deserved World champion. An interesting game decided by a beautiful goal.

Germany will be hard to beat in the next EC and WC (considering they get Reuss back too). Their defense might become the biggest problem once Lahm retires but that's still some time away.
