It is about time we have a thread talking about football.
Anyone else watching the UCL semifinals? I was only watching the UCL website coverage while at work, but I think I'll manage to catch the second half. I really dislike Barcelona, so go Bayern München! Thomas Müller > Messi.

4:0 for Bayern, OMG! When Dortmund scored 2 goals in injury time against Malaga I thought this was the highlight of this year's Champions League, but today was a match to remember.

Very interesting game. I think Barcelona is finally being punished by their questionable policy of investing in the "all players made at home" myth. That's the only reason I see for them to use players like Pedro Rodriguez, Jordi Alba and Victor Valdes, which are, in my opinion, medium to bad players (especially Valdes, he's a very bad keeper). Same thing goes for their Manager.
Of course, Messi, Xavi and Iniesta are still enough to win against the great majority of the opponents. But I think Barcelona performances will start falling in the next years.
By the way, I can accept how the referees constantly favor Barcelona in interpretative rules (and Real Madrid too, for that matter). Some years ago, Van Persie was sent off for kicking a ball in the goal after the referee called a offside. Today, Alba threw a ball in Robben's face and he only received a yellow card. If it was a player from whatever team throwing the ball at Iniesta's face, it'd be sent off and likely banned for a few more matches.
And what a player is Schweinsteiger.

By the way, this is a football thread, so I'll give my opinion on everything about football with no basis whatsoever. Also, my opinion might change from one day to the other based on only one match. I expect most people to know that already, but maybe some aren't familiar with how a football discussion works.

Unfortunately for poor Darrell, tomorrow is Borussia's day. 3x1 (the 1 isn't from Ronaldo).

I'm seeing alot of people predicting Joeckel going in the first round, which I've found kinda crazyhim being just a junior. Of course, if that's what the Chiefs need, more power to them.
And sad note: they took down the trees at Toomer's today. Such tragedy.
