Okay, here's the sign up/org thread for our next in the PB5, PB8, PB13 Epics Sequence. Rather than mess with a good formula, I'd think we'd probably want to continue with mostly the same settings, although Dtay requested a snake pick; that would be novel and interesting in RBmod.

Mod: RBmod's latest version. Minor tweaks are cooked up in the RBmod thread so please check things from there.

Double moves: Don't be a jerk. Peace time or when you're not planning to start war play as soon as it is possible and most times no need to be taking into account potential double moves. During war preparation turn and war times double moves are not allowed.
Other:
* No city gifting or trading
* No using trade window to communicate (e.g. using letters or numbers in a way that could be interpreted something else than a real trade offer)
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I'm working a stupid number of hours atm. Sunday when the 2.0.7.1 was posted has been my first day off since the 10th and I don't have another day off until the...30th? Maybe? But if people wanted to play a quick test game for that we can iron out the bugs. Run, say, a quick and dirty 5-6 player PB game, and then start PB23 as the proper continuation of the 5, 8, 13, 15, 18 series.

That said, I do have plans for a newer version, but that is not likely to be done any time soon, unless someone wants to actually do everything I tell them with the code. So if a new game is wanted in the next month, probably going to have to use the stable version, with the +150% PHI and unfixed work boats.

I would be willing to make the map. However, I'm currently decently busy IRL, along with the Fire Emblem SG and trying to run an RPG in Gaming Table. So if you want me to do it don't expect it to be done super soon.

I'm interested if its a big FFA; can do solo if the game starts at earliest in late August, or whenever with a partner available to play turns. Prefer a partner either way, love to post post post post...

Added you both, and have a copy-paste from PB18's rules for a starting point, excepting snake for pick method.

Now that PB13 is over, can someone point me to the controversy over city "gifting"? I understand there was a kerfuffle; I can see arguments on either side but I certainly don't mind cities being a valid sale or peace treaty part.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

Also everyone should stick with AI diplo. No NAP or any other signalling. Even sheep to sheep trades shouldn't be offered.

I did a city gifting deal for peace in PB13 which I thought of (and still do) as a win-win for both parties and with nothing spiteful or cheesy about it. For me I got the enforced peace on one front and the ability to move units off an island at a time when I may have needed both to survive in the game. Also, the diplomatic effect. I'm not sure if any third parties cared about that deal in particular or thought it was foul play.
