Actually, any battle involves all the six surrounding hexes, should armies of the appropriate players be present in them. They even get positioned on the tactical battlefield appropriately (except for sieges, where the walls divide the field in half, and each side is lined up either side of the wall). Another fun thing about stone walls is that units positioned on them get a huge range increment. This means if the attacker has flying/phasing/passwall units with ranged attacks and can set them up on an uncovered section of the walls, he can really rain death on the melee defenders now positioned below him. In my previous set, I had quite a lot of fun with beholders that way.

Zerti spawned underground, at least that's where his first throne city was, one of the ones I took in my set.

Ok, downloaded and read everything, had a look in-game. Great sets, Bob and MJW. Sheesh, the player's work is cut out, we have units being produced in cities some 8-10 turns of travel away from each other even with roads, which makes a mockery of 10 turn sets. And even managing the armies we already have assembled is already a task. Presently, we have three prospective surface fronts — Orc Dreadnought, Henna the Elder and Laryssa Mirabilis, both Sorcerers. I'll see what I can do over this Sunday.

Yeah, sorry, everything is a bit of a mess. I probably accidentally left some units with go-to orders as well, despite having complained about MJW doing so.
I was trying to setup military production cities in pairs, with one producing T3 melee units and the other spamming Apprentices. Unfortunately the map has conspired to isolate some of our most productive sites in distant corners of the map.

Oh I opened the save and looked at it. For some reason the Theocrat's level 2 building's happiness bonus works for some reason. It's probably just a bug...

I assume that this is just taking forever and you didn't ditch us or anything...

Yep, I'm still here. Sorry, been a bit hectic and I couldn't carve out large enough slots of time to sit down and finish this.

Looks like I am not going to be able to do this all the way through, after all. Up to T75. I declared on Argula, taking two of her cities. Throne city is next in line, there are a couple of cannons and a juggernaut there, but nothing dragons can't handle. We can also now summon earth elementals. The major problem now is that both Henna and Lucius are carrying out EXTENSIVE maneuvers on our borders and through them. It's laregly dungeon clearance, but stacks are big enough that every turn you have to take some precautions, which eats away at the time considerably, and I just won't be able to finish this.

AI cannot attack you the turn it DoWs (you cannot ether) so that would save some time. So you could just dump everything at the front line expect for the forces needed to kill the units in your territory (of the person you DoW). So I suggest you try a few turns using my idea then give up.

Well Bacchus gave me the save so I think he rage quit. I will try to play 5 or 10 turns and see what happens. Let me know what you think Bob.
