I really like the set up for this game.

I personally am pretty tired of seeing people picking Darius>Huayna>Sury>Mansa every base BTS game.

My prediction for picks:

Bob's consideration of Wang Kon is 100% tenable. Financial is just that much better, particularly with Exp's worker not coming out faster.

These guys are PBEMing on Normal Speed, so I supercharged their caps, and map is Small/Noble. Still think Org is viable given the script's lighthouse love and the toroid, but Imp is also very viable...Catherine or Joao might get some love.

Will post map as a whole once it gets resourced; I was pushing for caps as that's the blockage.

I take it they banned FIN except for Wang Kon then? What a cruel trap. I feel like you shouldn't do that if there are new players in the game especially.

Looking at some of these start, I'd be tempted to first pick the Zulus here. It definitely wouldn't be considered as a troll pick in this case. wink

Bob's start looks weaker than the others to be honest. He's got fish but no way to build that workboat quickly. He does get a headstart on the Great Lighthouse FWIW.

Edit: I thought about a little more for Bob's start. I think he can grow to size 2 working the Ivory while slow building a work boat and then whip the worker. He will need a Fish/Mining civ for this to tech BW first and he can even get value out of Expansive for the first worker.
