Just having a bit of fun. Even as you are the Great Evangelist for the Holy Church of ORG, I can't argue against how good ORG really is. There may be something to what Gawdzak says about its benefit being a penalty reduction rather than a more tangible positive bonus. But if you say "shrine" and "capital" ho ho ho...that sounds strong even if it's the same thing, doesn't it?

Played: Pitboss 18 - Kublai Khan of Germany Somalia | Pitboss 11 - De Gaulle of Byzantium | Pitboss 8 - Churchill of Portugal | PB7 - Mao of Native America | PBEM29 Greens - Mao of Babylon

No problem with having some fun , i remember seven beeing a litle against of my arguments about org, but after he palyed with zara he chanched his point of view(i think). There is krill which still belives Org is not strong ,but we all know krill is hard to be convinced about something.Org is very strong , but you need to adjust your play for it, if you dont is still beter then most of traits but not the best.

I don't believe ORG isn't strong. I accept that it's a damned good trait that is worth picking for sure if you can make synergy work, or have a high cost game, or the game has more than, say, 8 players. I just think it's boring as fuck. I'd have to say that SPI is always going to be the trait that is best in any mod that tries to balance the traits though, simply because of the flexibility it gives, and it allows players to simply outplay everyone else.

CHM I'd have to write an essay on though. Too many variables to take into account. But any time you have to build a monument to unlock a bonus I'd say you're on a losing proposition.

Pithy, yet inarguable.

I actually appreciate the more skilleder guys taking self-imposed hits...Bob took Pro, Cornflakes took Brennus over say Isabella, and Retep took Asoka over Zaraq. wink

I SWEAR BY SID, NEXT GAME I'M GOING TO JUST GIVE EVERY PLAYER A SETTLED CITY. rant

Of course, first unforced error is in picking Byzantium...why not slow yourself down a little more by second-guessing the mapmaker. rolleye Actually, it's not a bad capital, but it does shift my carefully balanced stuff all askew.
