Also, I think it's worth noting that only 3 people have grown to size 2: us, Ichabod, and Dazed. Dazed grew to size 2 the turn before we first did, and that makes sense because he is right before us in the turn order. So he likely has another 6-food tile. But Ichabod grew to size 2 the turn after we did; this is a little nutty because Ichabod is EXP, so you would think he should be the first person to finish his starting worker and grow to size 2? Maybe he's going worker-worker? Maybe the starts aren't even and he got screwed?

Commodore is going Worker-Worker or Worker-Settler. He's IMP so I bet it's Worker-Settler. (Or he could also have a worse capital than us, but that would be really weird to give some people 6-food tiles and other people not.)

Worker-Settler sounds possible. That doesn't leave room for a warrior - is he going to bank on you not having a warrior to make him pay for planting in your face? I suggest moving the warrior NW when born.

Re: Scout? I think I'm more interested in seeing the area around Fish-Gawdzak than I am seeing whats south of Crab, but that's debatable.

Turn 013

So the data gets a bit more interesting: both Commodore and Ichabod grew at the end of last turn. The only thing that makes sense is the starts are wildly different. Non-EXP civs take at least 10 turns to build the first worker. That would be too much time unless he had a deer resource available on the first ring.

Anyway, I could go on about the different possibilities, but the point is the starts don't apart to be balanced. Take from that what you will.

Decided to pull the warrior back; since Commodore's growing he's obviously making his own warrior, and it doesn't make sense for us to go harass Commodore and leave ourselves open to other people. I mean, we're not Oxy and we won't even try to be; gotta stay true to yourself, and all that.

We'll finish our worker in 3 turns; that 4 is lying. Once the deer camp finishes (next turn) it'll end up being 9/9/11/11 for building our 2nd worker. Which had a lot to why I wanted to build a 2nd worker here.

Man, despite playing the majority of my MP civ on quick speed, 2 straight games of normal make this start look super fast.
