Turn 034
I spent most of my available time this morning staring at possible warrior movements for Commodore and how I needed to evict his annoying warriors, so I didn't leave myself any time to take screenshots or write up a report. So instead I'm going to repeat a question I asked lay turn: where does city #3 go? There are a number of spots, with all the food available in the south. 1. The sign marked Mandalia. I'm likely holding off on this until city #4 because I'm pretty certain we need to get horses in the BFC of our next city. Mandalia had this ring horses which we'd only be able to hook up in a reasonable amount of time if we land another religion there. So I'm crossing this one off the list already. 2. S or 2S of the corn. It would help if we had scouted this area out a bit more but the scout is dead thanks to barbarians. We will chop out another axe next turn to head SW and defend that new location. I think I like 2S better because it makes the horses first ring. But u also have a feeling I need a city with a lot of growth because I am a bit behind on development. And both of these locations seem slow. 3. SE of the peak (Edit: I mean SW!). This one feels like a short term monster and yet a long term liability. We settle a city with 4 bonus resources, that can immediately hook up the pigs and horses, gets the corn and crabs with a border pop ... yet with this plant we severely limit the amount of port cities we will be able to make against our west and our south seas. Still, this is one of the top options in my opinion because I'm not sure i can afford to think long term. 4. S of the pig. This is my other favorite spot. It may take longer to hook up the horses, but it's coastal so I won't be wasting all those beautiful 3c tiles. It also has a lot more trees for getting the city up and running, and doesn't compromise a city in the west coast. I'm not too worried about a monument chop because we are CHA and the happy is going to go to good use. Plus it is another location that I can hook up the pig before selling, so it will get up to speed faster. Those are the 4 I've considered. Any others stand out to you, Gaspar?

Let me be Noble and point out that S of the pig is SE of peak.
At a glance I think S of the pig is my favorite option. Well, actually my favorite option is probably S or 2S of the corn but I think you have to take advantage of the pig. You're behind on growth so cities that get up and running faster are pretty key. Also, maybe post a zoomed out bare map at some point?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?
Yeah, I just got the next turn's save so expect an overview tonight.
How about Eli last night? Nice job picking him up instead of Tannehill

+2 internet points to anyone who knows what movie I got that from without googling.

Turn 035 Preview
Commodore is either luring us in for a trap or he doesn't realize just how many axes I have I honestly think it's the later. In order for this to be a trap he'd have to have a pair of workers and a chariot/axe sitting in the fogged tile south of Suddrey. More likely he thinks he's presenting more units as attackers than I can deal with in defense. But I still want to think about it; it may be better to try and lure that back warrior down a tile so we can bop it with our southern axe instead of just bringing up the southern axe to cover the worker as it finishes the fur camp. Our third worker also finished at the capital so I need to also plan on how we set up city #3 before I do any moving this turn. But that means figuring out where city #3 will be -- it sounds like South of the pigs is the best spot to be, though. I think we can settle the city on turn 38 and pasture the pigs on the same turn. Here's an overview of the known world: And another with resources + not quite as zoomed out:
