I took the liberty of popping a hut, you got a barbarian uprising. Is that bad?

I found out the hard way in another PB game that rule doesn't apply on Raging . 7 barbs hit my capital on turn 5

I just noticed that Espionage is OFF in this game, which was not most of us voted for. However, I think we are far enough into the game that we should just play on.
Thoughts?
