I'd prefer to just keep playing but I'm ok with a restart so long as I get to keep my hut results.

I honestly don't care much one way or the other...as I haven't popped any huts and haven't really done anything, it doesn't affect me one way or the other except to give me a better idea of where to go exploring. *shrug* Though if forced to pick a side I think the game should have the settings that were democratically voted on.
If there's a restart you replay identically to what you've already done. Never replay a turn differently.
And if we do restart (not that I care much either way) document all your moves in thread so lurkers can replay your turns for you so we don't spend another 3-4 days replaying what's already been done.

We are at a point, however, that the settings can be corrected without much trouble. At least that's the impression that I am under. It looks like this is also coming down to a vote, personally, it doesn't matter to me, but I understand the costs of reloading to be minimal.
To be honest I'm not even sure I can play my moves exactly the way they were. Generally, yeah, but I didn't report each exact move between turns 2 and 5, and I don't remember the exact specific ones.
Also, and maybe I'm wrong because the math of this is not my forte, but wouldn't it affect research rates (potentially) if someone is granted techs they got from a hut? For example, if I start with Hunting and I'm researching AH, and I pop Agriculture on Turn 3, wouldn't AH take me a different amount of time than if I had Hunting/Agr to start with?
That means someone will have to go in and grant them the hut techs on the turn they were popped, rather than at the start, else it can affect tech rate in an unfair manner compared to other people who did not have such serendipity. |
