Rounds Structure:
I. Round Robin I
Each player will play 3 games against a different opponents. Each game has a time limit of 6 months. If requested, a game may be extended up to a 12 month time limit. If mutually agreed to, opponents may decide to start early any games from round Robin II
A player must choose a different different civilization to play in each Round Robin I & 2 game. Duplicate civilizations between opponents are not allowed. If a player summons and switches to Hyborem or Basium in a game, they may summon but not switch to Hyborem or Basium respectively in a future Round Robin I or II game.
II. Round Robin II
Each player will play 3 additional games against different opponents. Each game has a time limit of 6 months.
A player must choose a different different civilization to play in each Round Robin I & 2 game. Duplicate civilizations between opponents are not allowed within the same game. If a player summons and switches to Hyborem or Basium in a game, they may summon but not switch to Hyborem or Basium respectively in a future Round Robin I or II game.
III. Tie-breaker
The top two players with the most Round Robin games won go onto the Final Game. However, if there is a tie that would otherwise cause more than 2 players to ascend to the finals, a tie-breaker game/games is/are held. This/these games will either be a multiplayer free for all or a set of simultaneous duel games. The winner of this game or set of games is the one chosen to go onto the finals
Duplicate civilizations are allowed in the Tie-breaker game
IV. Finals
By default, the top two players with the most Round Robin games won go onto the Final Game. If a tie-breaker was held, the winner(s) there will go to the Finals.
Duplicate civilizations are allowed in the Finals game.
The winner of this game is declared the "Master of Fall from Heaven"

Round Settings & Selection:
I. Picks & Counterpicks
Each tournament game setup begins the following way
1. Player 1 Proposes a Mapscript with Settings. Ex: Mapscript: Mirror, Mirror Type: Reflection, Landmass Type: Varied, Worldwrap: Flat
2. Player 2 chooses a civilization.
3. Player 1 chooses a civilization
4. Player 1 starts a new game with themself as player 1 and Player 2 as player 2 with the appropriate map settings.
II. Game Type Defaults
The game settings below are the default game settings and types to play
Mod: Erebus in the Balance v11.1
Format: Play by Email
Players: 2
AI: None
Difficulty: Monarch
Map Script: Mirror and other Mirror Mapscripts (See Here for additional mapscripts)
Map Size: Tiny
Start Era: Thaw
Game Speed: Quick.
Barbarians: Normal
No Technology trading: On
No Vassal States: On
No Tribal Villiages: On
No Lairs: On
No Unique Features: On
No Acheron: On
No Orthus: On
Victories: All
III. Overriding Game Type Defaults
If both opponents for a game mutually agree, they can change one or more of the above settings. For example, they could choose to play a direct IP game instead, Turn Off No Lairs & Tribal villiages, play the mod Fall From Heaven 2 instead of Erebus in the Balance v11.1, etc.
The only exceptions to this are that the Mod must be a Fall from Heaven Derived Mod, they cannot add more players or AI to the game. The game speed must be quick and they may not increase the map size beyond small. Similarly, they must abide by the round robin limits on duplicate civilizations.

Administration & Tournament Adjudication
Exceeding the Time Limits for Games
1. In the event that a match is not complete after its time limit the following criteria should be used. Administrator is decision-maker in all these cases.
2a) If there is a clear leader, that player shall be declared winner.
2b) If there is no clear leader, but one player has had extended unexpected absences that has caused the game to slow down and not complete in one month, then the other player shall be declared winner. No "sand-bagging" the save to make sure the other player cannot catch up before the time is up.
2c) If the game is too close to call, the players will be given a 7 turn extension with the Admin giving the exact turn deadline. The score leader at the end of that turn will be the winner. If it's somehow tied after that, there will be rolling 1T extensions until the tie is broken.
3. With concurrence from other players, the administrator may decide to extend the time limit for select games
Dropping Players
If a player leaves midgame and a significant number of turns have already been played, the opposing player wins by default. Else the match is annulled and a new one rescheduled. It is up to the Administrator to determine what a significant number of turns are
Games will be reassigned to the best ability of the Administrator in case a player prematurely exits the tournament.
Tournament Changes
The Administrator may make reasonable changes to the tournament structure if there is are needs / desires from the majority of participants. The tournament structure and rules are meant to be well founded and reasonable, but should not be completely inflexible.

Game Thread Structure
If you wish to post commentary from one or more of your games (and please do), please make a separate thread for your games like the below. Keep the game session fomat and on the right include your name so that we know who's side the commentary is from.
Kragroth's Side [GAME 1 Session IV - Kragroth vs Tasunke]
Greywolf's Raging Elves! [GAME 1 Session II - Auroarcher vs Greywolf]
Auroacher's Malakim see the Light[GAME 1 Session II - Auroarcher vs Greywolf]
Black Sword cuts through [GAME 4 Session V - Black Sword vs. Bob]
If you really really wish, you can choose to only have one thread to report your games. Use something similar to the below which includes your username for distinguishing.
[SPOILERS] Black Sword cuts through
Edit: 2/2/2015 Reversed the order of the titles. Added ability to create a single thread rather than multiples.
Game Save Structure
Title your Duel Saves like the below examples to ensure consistency between games
EITB XL G3 SIII
EITB XL G1 SVI
EITB XL G5 SI
In case it wasn't obvious the first one stands for Erebus in the Balance XL Game 3 Session III.

Rules look good. I presume you are the admin?
As to the game threads...it's as simple as this, for me. I'll obey the structure/choices of the majority, but I'll be reporting in a maximum of one thread. If that's a problem, I won't report at all - I can't be bothered working out changes.

You're welcome to report in only one thread if you wish, but please keep that one thread to just one game.
I'm administering this tournament by default. The work has to be done by someone.

I'll be reporting any games I do report in one thread. That could be two, or two hundred.

Q. Could you please just play along please? There's no benefit here to being a contrarian.
