WW37- For Whom the Bell Trolls

Remember the Lewwyn vampire game. It might take longer than that, or have various esoteric restrictions.

Or maybe this is just wishful thinking. We've yet to have an unbridled cult in these games, but they're pretty clearly not something we want to see.

Shadeun, I get why you didn't want to contribute yesterday, but could you now? Who do you suspect?

I'm two botttles of savignon blanc deep. not sure i can sting together anything coherent tonite. might be busy in the morning. dont know who i cant trust at this point.

im sure there'll be plenty of votes by the time i arise. Paranoia seems to be the status quo for now.

I'm not familiar with that game Agnes, it must predate me. This is my fourth? Fifth? Depends on whether or not you actually count the MJW game as a game :P

That's twice drunkenness has been used as an excuse, though at least this time it wasn't an excuse to leave a vote on someone.

See Gazglum, I get your reasoning and it follows coherently, but I still can't see why you wouldn't cast a vote on Commodore or Mattimeo at lynchtime. Why didn't you commit to one or the other?

Related, general question, would you have preferred no-lynch over Matt or Commodore being lynched?

Here's your post just before Fenn switches. At this time it looks like we'll have a no lynch, but it could still very easily have swung either way, or even onto you. With last-minute lynches being what they are, it was by no means guaranteed that you'd be able to vote Gore in time. I get your reasoning after the fact, but in the heat of the moment I'm surprised at your dithering/protest vote.

Quote:If I wanted Commodore to go, why wouldn't I get my hands dirty? Everyone else was digging in. It's not like a policy lynch where the wolves know that the target is going to flip innocent, so they don't want to be onboard. Commodore flipped exactly as we expected him to - a survivor. If I did think Commodore was a danger to me, why not just vote him?

I thought Commodore was not the best lynch. I would have voted him over myself, but I wanted Novice.

Why didn't you want to get your hands dirty, though? Novice was an unbelievable lynch, even with Fenns vote. Why were you holding back? Why didn't you want to take a stand?

You were at the block, for Pete's sake. This isn't you asleep at the wheel, or dealing with an issue on which you had no opinion. This was a very highly-charged, dangerous lynch for you. And yet you left it on novice, at 4/4/3/2. And even after that - if you wanted a no-lynch, you could have jumped on Matt for 5/5/3.

Why didn't you take a stand yesterday? Why didn't you care what happened at the lynch?

Gazglum

Good post on novice, though. One problem, though:

Quote:But then when I call him scum trying to policy lynch a seer, Novice just doesn’t engage. Again, you’d think that if multiple other people are calling me scum, and then I attack him, that Novice might want to –consider- me as an option over Goreripper at least as much as he did Fenn. But he doesn’t want to have that conversation at all, because he is happy with his vote where it is. He doesnt' want to move to me, because he knows I'm going to flip town and he has messed up his nice clean suit with my blood.

Doesn't this at all remind you of last game? Or if you have long enough memories for it, WW27, when Zak/I used a non-engaging town novice to win?

I liked Pind's arguments against Gazglum, Gaz did you every respond to those? I didn't see if so when I read through the night.

I have such a long memory of games lol

I was talking about this game. I think it was on my mind because Serdoa also had a setup where abilities didn't flip with death.

I have no problems putting my vote where it was before the end of day. Gazglum still has a lot to answer in my book. He talks about how he only has as many votes as other people, but glosses over how shallow those votes were. He also fails to address why he kept constantly seeking dirt on me, despite the fact that he supposedly found me to be ok. Until he answers those to my satisfaction, or someone messes up enough to somehow appear more scummy, my vote is likely to stay where it's at.

Jabbz, what was your stance on a no lynch yesterday?
If you know what I mean.

I was theoretically ok with it given that I felt that the case against Matt was terrible, and that Gore could be persuaded to help us, and was practically begging for it. I would rather have lynched Gaz certainly. I failed to participate in a last minute drop on Matt for fear of that being used for a last minute drop off Gore, leaving me complicit in hanging someone I have no scum feelings toward, nor policy reason to want to see hang. There were just too many ways that could go wrong, and leave me holding the bag. I tend to suck at scum hunting when I spend entire days defending myself :/
