Sadly all opponents are tough enough.
W is bad: it's a continent, I won't be able to conquer some territory, except something extraodinary happens.
S: 2 good opponents, William (brown) is more advanced then me.
E: there's little place, but conquer Myki's Cerf is a good decision, but not now of course, he has Elephants and Longbows

Most probably no one cares but I really want to click "retire" every time I log into this game. I understand that it is a duty of a player to keep the show going on even after he lost his desire to play but I still can't figure out how I ended up being I player here - in a game which whole concept I disliked from start. What I can do is to force Zanth to take the game back but he will be just missing turns and I don't want to give William this kind of gift. On the other hand, conducting a complex late-Reneissance war with zero motivation isn't much different from missing turns...

Back with some thoughts this evening when I can get into the game and have a look around.

William is slowly taking chunks out of the Empire, but has razed everything he's captured so far. Down to about 5 cities now, so his reward at the end of the conquest will be slim as he'll be required to build most of the territory up from scratch.

We had a couple of exchanges in the field, which went around 1 for 1 however with his greater production I can't afford that sort of trade and have (belatedly) pulled back from continuing it.

Have a single coastal city remaining, with all nets pillaged, but Molach generously agreed to supply a full set of seafood to keep us healthy. Slowly researching Steel, but I doubt it'll come in time to matter.

All that's left is to be as spiky as possible and cost William any chance at the game, except I think he's doing that quite effectively with the way he's prosecuted this war.

He could likely have walked through me if he'd moved a couple of turns ago - probably still can, but casualties will be higher: Cannon online in 3t (Steel in 2).

I wonder if he has a plan other than bore me to death ... it's worked on 3 previous owners!
