Turn 100
Triple digits!
If I had to rank the teams, I think I would put them so:
1. Commodore
2. Yuri
3. Us
4. Flug_auto
5. Wetbandit
Which is really close to how the population story comes close to playing out:
1. Commodore: 12 cities, 55 population
2. Us: 11 cities, 50 population
3. Flug_auto: 10 cities, 46 population
4. Yuri: 9 cities, 46 population
5. Wetbandit: 9 cities, 36 population
Yuri has the best research rate in the game. And since we have to keep an eye on Commodore at all times, it's not like we can punish his farmer's gambit. Indeed; Yuri took advantage of that to settle up on us in the south. Our tech rate is rather poor, considering; but I think we have some of the worst expenses in the game with the double penalty of having to expand far and raising a military to defend those holdings.
We've settled all the border spots in turn, and the south now looks something like so:
Hair of the Dog and Deschuttes are the new cities here; both were settled in the last 10 turns. The monastery at Hair of the Dog is a culture play, mostly to gain control of the 3 tiles E-E, E-NE, and E-SE to the city, and hopefully before Yuris tries to chop them.
We have connected all of our plantation happiness tiles, and with them we will be able to grow our cities to 8. We still have not revolted to HR or Buddhism yet, but both of those are waiting on a golden age. This in turn is why we're finally starting a library at Breakside, to hire some scientists and hurry along our first great person. The two Wealth builds at Ecliptic and Leon's are placeholders of sorts: At Ecliptic we're waiting for MC to finish to start a forge, and at Leon's there's a library waiting to be whipped once we grow out of improved tiles to work.
The core cities:
The new additions here are 10 Barrell and Rogue. Both are going to be strong cities in their own right; it's just the matter of getting some basic infrastructure going and getting them up to speed with the rest of the cities. The settler at Amnesia is going to go to the islands, where we've found a great city spot that claims silver:
