Commodore would argue that he liberated the city ergo it's not a city trade; now that argument would be bullshit and he would need calling on it.

OK, killed the two Elkad speaars next to Leiden with the swords, attacking out at 73% and 78% odds (C1/shock on both for first battles, C2 on both for second battle). Both units can promote next turn, and got the third GG. I'm considering where to build HE, because I'm not putting it in hte Moai city with the SoZ. I hate Moai/HE combinations, they lack hammers and you can't put WP in there as wellfor commandoes (which Genghis has no excuse for not getting).

What other city has worthwhile hammers for the HE though? You're Agg/Imp, I had been thinking I could easily get to Commandos without needing WP, so I had planned to put the HE there in the Moai city.

You're Agg/Imp, I had been thinking I could easily get to Commandos without needing WP, so I had planned to put the HE there in the Moai city. 1 turn commandos are a late game treasure, when they force an opponent to keep a significant number of troops stationed in various cities to protect them, especially on smaller maps where those 1 turned commandos compromise a larger percentage of your forces. As AGG/IMP I need, what, 17XP for Commando? So Barracks/Vassalage/Theo for 7XP, WP for 5, or SoZ for 3 and make up the rest with GG. Pentagon helps lower that by 1 GG per city. It's theoretically possible to get two cities that pump commando units because of the SoZ actually, so I think that planning for that is a wiser action. With that in mind, you have a point that HE with Moai works because only need 4 settled GG in SoZ city and then 3 settled in the WP city (which could be the IW city to help build WP). I'm going to have to put more thought into this than I was hoping to... (July 1st, 2015, 14:17)GermanJoey Wrote: What other city has worthwhile hammers for the HE though? Now that you're fully spoiled, you need to abide by general lurker rules, Joey. That means no advice. I don't think this particular comment is over the line, but if you keep talking strategy, you'll cross the line sooner or later.
