I could join, but what mod will be used?

Frankly depends on if I can bribe a .DLL coder for some work with cookies and beer. I'd offer flowers but that'd be weird.

All the XML stuff is done. Just need hte DLL coding completed and it's ready for testing.

I could code assuming the task is well defined and straightforward. So Please tell me:
* Starting code base (I could dig in Novice's github, but would prefer a direct link to right place)
* What features are needed? (I suggest bare minimum and leave all those nice-to-haves for someone else to do)

Essentially this:

  1. Mandatory: Allowing civics to give a defined number of specialist slots. ie Serfdom gives 2 artist/scientist/merchant slots. Caste still gives infinite artist/scientist/merchant slots.
  2. Optional: Make No barb setting disable map trading.

I'm trying to work out an implementation for No Score mod to fit into the No Espionage game setting. That is a longer term job that I've barely scratched the surface of.

Mod link is here

So essentially only change really needed is to give serfdom those 2 specialists slots.

Why do you want these combined settings? It would make more sense to just add 2 new settings (Disable map trading, No score) and not mess with existing ones.

Well it's not so much that serfdom needs those changes as the ability to specify the spec slots on each civic.

Reason for map change boils down to balance and cost of gaining map information.

No score stuff is really in need of thorough testing prior to release. That's like 6 months away unless I get fired.

The specialist change is too vague as presented. Which civics provide specialists and how many of them?

Concerning settings. Why do you want to force players for using combined ones instead of giving them freedom of choice?

This was answered in the RtR forum...

I think adding multiple game options is detrimental to game balance so I'm not going to do it ergo I'm a dictator. It's that simple.

Would anyone other than our glorious dictator have a problem with just using 2.7.0.6? WLP was the only objection and he said he was out for other reasons.
