Korea moved the worker...

I need to request a reload, but I don't know how to do that without giving the game away...I know, could a lurker request a reload to the start of the turn for me please? And preferably a lurker that isn;t unique to this thread?

Basically the way the rules are worded the argument goes something like this:
Rule 15 says I get to choose what part of the turn I want.
Rule 16 says Lobo can't do a unit action until it is his turn
Rule 28 means I can't move for 12 hours, but because of rule 15 and 16 that just means Lobo can't move until after I have, which basically just slows down the game.
Lobo agrees with me and has requested a reload as well. I think the mess up just happened because he logged in so soon after I ended turn and didn't get a chance to read the email I sent him.
EDIT: Thanks reagan

EDIT: Thanks reagan Well, if you and Lobo agree then all is peachy.
IMHO, though, the rules state that you cannot choose the first half of the turn since you moved after him on the turn before the DoW. See my bolded section:
Quote:Poll 15: Dividing Wartime Turn Splits -
*Attacker's choice (attacker chooses when to declare, defender get opposite half of the turn)
*Defender's choice (attacker chooses when to declare, defender then gets to choose whether they want the first or second half of the turn)
*Some other proposal (please elaborate)
Poll 28: Double-move Rule -
(a) - All settler moves that result in ending a turn in neutral territory must occur 12 hours (in-game) after the last movement of that settler, if applicable.
(b) - REMOVED
© - REMOVED
(d) - When in doubt, act in good faith.
(e) - Upon declaring war, no unit may be moved until 12 hours (in-game) have passed from the unit's last movement AND the attacker has to have (secretly) followed the turn split rule the turn before the declaration of war if they wish to be able to move first during the war.
(f) - (a) is waived for the initial settler
Now technically, it should probably read "the turn before the DoW and the turn OF the DoW" but I think the intention behind the wording is pretty clear.
I completely agree that your double move rule for PB2 is better worded.
I have to run.

So, how do you plan to camouflage your move? Other players can't tell from the scoreboard, can they?
And wow, I feel sorry for Lobo

Irony is I couldn't have moved first due to working all day on the turn before war declaration.
TBH, I hate double move rules. Can we just use the one I wrote earlier on?

TBH, I hate double move rules. Can we just use the one I wrote earlier on? We lurkers have the luxury of not dealing with that headache. We just offer our two cents, sit back, and watch chaos ensue.
At any rate, good going on getting some lebensraum. The extra worker will be a nice bonus if you get it.
I have to run.

The intent of the rule is clear. Lobo should be allowed to move 1st this turn. Rule is badly worded, but end result seems absurd to me. Again no douple moves rule that would encourage double moves. I could take this up in the common forum but in a light that this interpretation should be banned.

This is probably going to go down the same old lines as all double move rules go down, intent versus wording. I'm always going to be on the side of the wording, because everyone has different opinions of what should and should not be legal.
If I got the understanding wrong, then no biggie, no reload needed and I'll kill him.

If I got the understanding wrong, then no biggie, no reload needed and I'll kill him. Well, you declared war on T11. If you moved after Lobo on T10, then Lobo get's the first half of the turn both by the intent and wording of the rules*. If you moved before Lobo on T10, we have a situation.
*Unless you've spotted something in the rules that I haven't.
I have to run.
