idk, I'd just prefer In-game Diplo to only AI diplo ... and I think its a good middle ground between AI and TOTAL DIPLO MADNESS!!

I suspect that if we allow any significant diplo, given the size of this game turns will end up getting paused all over the place so that people can have diplomatic exchanges.

I do think that at least some limited amount of diplo should be allowed - in game messages are fine. One of the issues with peace offers is that you get them before you have any chance of figuring out what happened, so a way to suggest peace and have that taken up outside of the normal channel is good with me.
