I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

But man, do I love worker baiting. Have been doing it for years against players very experienced in MP tricks and traps, and it still works all the time! "There is no wealth like knowledge. We will have Construction in 2 turns (discover at the start of Turn 108 ). Then 2 turns to get cats in play (build swap T108, whip T109) and so we're hoping to eliminate one of the Dantski stacks on Turn 110.
I've been without power for much of today as the second huge blizzard in less than a week is pounding the mid-Atlantic region. If you can't find me online tonight Speaker, go ahead and play the turn because I'm probably lacking power again.
Two armies have massed around a copper mine in eastern India.
Do you see how much better it would have been if they moved NW instead of N, and sat right next to the city? They would threaten Antietam and tie our troops down, but maintain the flexibility to hop 1 or both chariots over the river to pillage the copper, and we'd have to defend either the city or the copper. I simmed the battle numerous times, and I think I've come up with the right mix so that they need to win a couple of battles below 15% to cause any damage. I don't expect them to attack, actually. I'm not sure if they will move toward Fredericksburg or Antietam, but with Construction finishing next turn for us, we'll be able to defend either, and our biggest tactical will be lifted in the East. This defensive position gives us greater flexibility because we can now defend Fredericksburg as well as Antietam. We will get a general by winning 2 battles, and could have done so this turn, but I didn't want to leave the Horse Archer exposed (in the West), or risk taking too much damage on our General Axe to kill a Skirmisher (in the East). I think the next couple of turns are going to be *very* interesting. "There is no wealth like knowledge. No poverty like ignorance." |
