- go for your general objectives that you've outlined to me but with free reign to make own decision based on recent game developments?

Let me get the game today. I am thinking that I'll only want it to go through to T20 and then stop. I'll post to that effect in the 'all players' thread. My thinking is that we cannot beat Yaz to the spot so we might just have to take it from him. Tech after BW is Archery. Lets see if a couple of Protective Archers cannot bottle him into his side of my island.

chatted to yaz this evening about our NAP and 4 v 5 discussion.

• Yaz: So I managed to move my warrior in to see some of the land this turn. Now I see why you've been fighting to settle so close to me lol
  
• me: because there is no where else
  
• Yaz: You don't have any other land? I know I have a long narrow stretch of land behind me (albeit barren with practically zero resources) so I doubt you have no other land since the map was reviewed.
  That's why I'm not quite understanding the insistance of settling so close to me because I'm rather certain you must have an area similar yourself.
  
• me: I am hard up against the eastern shore line
  I have one city that will share a tile with my capital and have 3 clear land tiles
  
• Yaz: Have you managed to explore all along the coats though? You only had a warrior (perhaps two now?) so would have been hard on the beeline to me.
  Like I said too, I doubt thawk missed that you had no land to grow into beyond snuggling up to me :P
  I'm sure you can understand my point of view of not wanting your city bordering my capitol. Just like I know you wouldn't want my expansion to border yours if roles were reversed.

Tried to sound dejected about the current state of this game ... and as if I have no plan. Did it come across like that? You will not that I was very careful not to lie to him about my map knowledge of the southern reaches.

Firstly, click on the little pic below. We have 1 warrior (hereafter called HERE) at HERE (top right). He heads back towards our capital. We have another warrior (hereafter called 17) at '17' (bottom left). I have detailed instructions for him (see below).

Jaz has a warrior (I think) scouting my land ... well, the land between us. I think it is currently at or about the hill 1 W of our future city. I am thinking it will head SE. I want to move such that that warrior does not see 17.

and you may have seen that yaz was using his scout to look around and he didn't make the move you predicted meaning he has most definitely seen '17'.

I'm going to request a pause 1 turn earlier than you initially wanted due to being unsure of what you would like me to do now in this situation. I can't really march 17 north now without being obvious.
