I don't have any feel for it. Which is easier to research, Guilds or Civil Service?

CS means CoL-> CS which gives access to nothing we really want (not enough workshops for Caste to be worth it and for now Vassalage is fine) so while it could be cheaper it's not that great. But yes, engineering first for 3-move roads and LK.

Well, it may not be urgent but we do certainly want CoL at some point. If Org Rathauses can't pay for themselves, I'll be very confused.

OTOH, IIRC the prereqs for Guilds are Feud and Monarchy, both of which we've already got for other reasons. So we could go for it at any time. And we already have HA built who could be upgraded, and Knights are generally better than maces anyway. And it's en route to other useful things like Banking and Rifling.

I dunno. I guess next tech is mainly a question of paranoia vs. hope. Best military tech is probably Guilds. Hope would say to go for economic techs instead, first.

Yeah, no rush to decide. And it's still always possible that one of our neighbors makes the choice obvious. Or irrelevant.

On a related note, I'm feeling less burned out now. I need to get through a map I've volunteered to make and my rotation in the SG, but probably next week I can start logging in again. Want to look around and see if there are any growth opportunities left.

Oh, wow, that's a lot more Power lost than I realized, especially when you compare to the trend beforehand. Maybe we could afford to try something small, like planting a city on Jowy's border and pumping culture, or taking over the Fenn-shared island.

Can't go against Wetbandit, it looks like he's ramping up to kill somebody.

Do you think I should plant there ? It's possible, but IIRC that's a site Jowy razed a few dozen turns back.

I played the turn and didn't start a settler, but there's still time if you think we should prioritize that.
