Turn finished. This is the situation in the West:
I am not sure where she should move next. the forest seems to lead off to the north, with none 2W or W-NW (though there is a hill there)
The other option is a turn on the flat SW, then SW again onto the hill. Opinions are wanted here.
EDIT: After some thought, I think I favor the northern path unless there are objections. Only Swiss is yet to play, so I'm assuming the turn will have rolled by morning, at which time I will play it. I'll be here for another hour or so if you're around to chat during that time, ring me up.

Turn 47 Complete.
Toulouse and Chimee have finished the pasture, which Pride Rock is working again. The monument completes next turn.
Marie is chopping the forest just south of the capitol.
Here is the situation in the West.
Yalara's next 2 moves should be NW onto the hill, then SW into the forest.
Here is the situation in the East.
Prrsha's next move should be NE then, unless there is a forest NE that I'm missing, I guess SE or maybe N depending on what we see next turn.
Err... nevermind. I think I see a stealth boarder there...

Thanks, Maniac!
HOLY TOLEDO!
Am I crazy, or ... look at Prrsha's pic again....
[EDIT: Heh. This comment makes less sense with the stealth-edited-in "stealth border" comment above....]

Okay, this is pretty thoroughly overshadowed by the news from the east. (Go, PRRSHA!) but:
In case I haven't said this often enough: I can NOT sustain this level of activity in this game. I also am probably the least experienced member of this team, though I've done a bunch of lurking. So, I'm going to post the best (by some definition) microplan I was able to devise, hopefully without too many typoes, and let others critique and improve it. So as not to make people's eyes bleed, and to make it easily findable, I'm shipping it back to the first page (NOT the first post) of our thread: here!
Tell me what you think ... but FIRST! We need to draft a message to say Hello to our fellow Ma-somethings! Contact! (Next turn. Assuming a panther doesn't swoop out of the fog to eat Prrsha and Krill doesn't destroy their city.) Finally!
[EDIT: And going back several posts, my apologies for the last-minute edit. I did it for clarity, but if I'd known the edit was going to spoil a joke, I'd have left it the way it was!]

Hola, MM and team! Just dropping by to wish you and your kittens the best of luck with the game.
If you're naming units for random cat characters, please consider using Snowball, Snowball II, etc., from The Simpsons.

Heya Reagan. Thanks for the well wishes. We'll likely need them as I haven't played much Civ IV since vanilla, and my team mates are fairly new to the game.
I don't think any of us have illusions that we're going to win, we're just trying to play the best game of civ we can.
I think we can find a place for Snowball... maybe after the next couple of workers even (what do you guys think?)
OK, now, the turn has rolled. Time to make contact... As for a greeting letter, how about this?
Quote:Hola Malinesian Compatriots
Our brave warrior, Prrsha, has noticed your cute little civilization. She has traveled many miles, braved many hazards, including bears, lions, and even FLEAS in search of the mythical Swiss civilization. They are famous for cheese, you see, and where there is cheese, there are also mice.
I have to say, she's a bit dissappointed to find that your land is not fabled Switzerland, but rather, Mali. Nevertheless, we're glad to finally know that we are not, in fact, alone in the world, and would very much like to explore friendly relations with your empire. Please let us know if you would also be interested in agreeable relations.
- ManiCat Marshall for The Friendly Kitten Empire.
EDIT: You know Reagan, with you coming back, maybe some of us "old guys" should try to get an SG going for Civ 5 when it comes out... hopefully I'd have the time at that point, I clearly don't right now!

Thanks, Reagan! I hope you enjoy the read - and Snowball definitely has a place in our civ somewhere down the line. Then the first unit built after/if Snowball dies would be Snowball II, and...

Maniac, I think your letter's hilarious, but it might be a little over-familiar for a team we just met, and with whose members we've had little direct interaction out-of-game. Give me a moment, and I'll try and compose an alternative for comparison. (Or to be thrown out or whatever.)

Well, you know, I considered we could put in something to the effect of "Don't mind our sillyness. We're taking the game a bit more serious than it might seem from the above."

OK, here's the turn played. Here's the situation in the west:
Clearly (at least *I* think) Yalara should move SW next turn and continue moving straight west for the next 2 moves.
And now... the moment you've all been waiting for:
