We have to hack this station within 8 turns. We can probably get vision on it through the windows and hack it remotely.
Found a pod on the first move. A sectoid and a stun lancer.
Lewwyn had a 86% chance to hit and a 80% chance to crit. Shadowstrike is pretty nice huh.
She did 12 damage and killed the Sectoid.
Jowy then 1-shot the stun lancer. We might be a bit above the normal power curve at this time
Lewwyn moved ahead, didn't spot anything, then re-concealed (it doesn't cost an action), then moved ahead one more time. Now she found something:
It's a turret on the roof! We could bomb it down but our grenadiers aren't in range yet. Jowy had a 50% chance to kill it with Combat Protocol, but rolled low.
Next turn he finished it off. Let's hope for no MEC's.
A few turns later we hadn't found any new adversaries, but had already breached the door. From this spot I figured we'd have vision on the objective, and we did:
I chose to increase Sareln's hacking stat. It succeeded! That is great news. In my experience they rarely show up, but without the boost hacking often feels not worth the risk.
Suddenly a ninja sectoid!!
We landed two overwatch shots to kill it.
A trooper took a wiser route, but Lewwyn was waiting for him inside. That's the pod down.
We got some loot from the trooper. I sent a few soldiers up on the roof for greater visibility. No enemies spotted yet.
They ended up running into us, but we missed all our overwatch shots.
First we take down the wall.
Then we take down the target! One enemy left.
Jkaen ran in to kill the other one, but rolled low damage. He did destroy a fucking WALL in the process though.
I gave the kill to the newbie Grenadier.
Mission complete. It took about 10 minutes to play so sorry for taking so long to report
Sareln had a promotion. I gave her Field Medic since it was a no-brainer.
Good luck to the next guy! I recommend waiting 2 days for Gauss Weapons, building the Grenadier weapon, then heading out for the Blacksite.
