all issues brought up against the map were perfectly justified and a good justification for not trusting mapmaking to newcomers

Now, I came late to the map, so the issues regarding how close the starts were I can't really speak of, BUT, I really liked the map. It seemed pretty unique, there was a lot of land to settle later in the game (if you survived that long), and the narrow landmasses and all the canal options made for some interesting navigation of potential attack/travel paths.

One more thought: I like that there's no Marble or Stone, but it makes IND a lot more valuable (in my eyes at least), and should be mentioned to the players before they make their picks (idk if it was or not actually). But maybe there are good reasons not to do that that I'm not aware of.

Starts too close, map too big, many choke points. Less room for player interactions other than live or die contests during first 50 turns leaving too many turns for non-winning teams to sandbox until it's their turn to die. Just my opinion.

Well well... I decided to play my turn and give it last chance. If the turn wont roll in 72 hours I think the draw is the most fair result. Personally I think Mr. Cairo has 50% to win this game, I have ~40% and DTG has the other 10%. I wish we could continue and finish it but I feel bad about forcing so many people to play the game they are not interested in.
