Is this going ahead at all? I could put some time towards an RB team.

So far I think I see interest from:

Most so far only want to play a small role in a large team. Do we have enough so far? Or is it all too late anyway and registration has closed?

the big, show-stopping problem I see is that we don't have any turnplayers...and we know what happens to teams full of lurkers but without dedicated turnplayers. frown

Yeah...if Krill was volunteering to be turn player I'd probably join in, but right now this has disaster written all over it.

I think there's probably quite a lot of people here perfectly willing and able to actually play the turns but maybe don't feel quite confident enough to do so with RB's reputation on the line, and the inherent responsibility that turnplayer has. I would be happy to put time in to come up with micro plans etc and run numbers, but don't feel confident enough to be The Decider. I would be happy to play on any team with any of the volunteering players as The Decider.

The other problem, of course, is the looming Civ 5. Lots of people wouldn't mind continuing to lurk a Civ 4 forum, but nobody wants to sign up for daily Civ 4 play that will last months after Civ 5 comes out.

Also, there are now 6 teams in the game, and that was the maximum that they wanted.

Nothing from stopping everyone from RB joining the team with the least amount of players, or from joining various teams, but a specific RB team is a no go...
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23

Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6:  PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

Hey All- I'm on Team Quatronia over at the new CFC demogame (my forum name there is the same as my civ name, Sherlock 613). Team Q was formed by some people I don't know, but they have gone completely inactive. There have only been 6 people posting in our forum, and even then it's been not very often....

So, my point is that Team Q really needs more people, and RB people are looking for a team on which they can have massive influence. Frankly, from what I've seen on how RB people play, I personally would love to have you all come over. If you all take the team over, it's fine by me.
