Ha. Well, i very much doubt that's the reason. I think it stems down to people wanting expansion room. They've had less involvement than others diplomatically. HRE have been screaming foul play on them for awhile in regards to them threatening a HRE settler.

*shrug* their loss is our gain.

To answer your question, it's up to you guys but PLEASE dont commit to anything diplomatically. This guys is twisting and turning like mad right now. If you want to just send a generic 'Wait til Kyan is back', that's fine.

If you want to respond properly, then by all means go ahead but as i say, just dont make promises yet. We just got a reply from Byz. It looks like they want us to re-join Heracles. I've done my best to tone down the impact of our defection so we don't end up hated, but maybe i went too far. If they think they've guilt tripped us into coming back- they're mistaken.

What they currently don't realise is:

a) No real members of Hydra will be leaving to work with former-Heracles.
b) It's possible they've secured France as an ally as i don't believe Morgan to be stupid. Just a quick glance at the score board shows they are being shafted by Hydra. However, getting France on board is no coup. France will have a significant attack on them shortly. Do NOT tell anyone this, especially byz, as they'll probly feed it back to France.
c) Hopefully France put up a meaningful defence as England's demo's are frigging insane and a frothing France thirsting fervently for blood (oh yeah i'm a king at alliteration) wouldn't hurt us.
d) [SIZE="5"]WE'VE ALREADY BROKEN THE HYDRA![/SIZE]

It is now massively top heavy and England/Krill are looking to actively split it. This will probably mean we need to self-research HBR and IW unless we can meet otto's and HRE asap. HBr isn't a biggie as we can do it in 6t anyhow. When our southern scout meets Rome i'm considering offering them a top-heavy IW now for Currency later agreement. The beauty of that is by the time currency comes in, i expect them to be dead shhh

We'll probly meet them when im away so feel free to handle the diplo on that front yourselves. It's a big one though as IW would be huge. Pesky jungle to remove before it spreads PLUS silver to unlock!

Okidoke - all sounds good. Its probably best to just leave diplo alone with a 'wait for Ky' request just so we have no crossed wires unless the response is simple.

I see another turn has just rolled - would you like me to log in and post some screenies of the empire in a bit?

But, in the mean-time, i have a lurker question. I'm stumped.

Last turn Genesis had 59/60 hammers completed into a worker:

The tile arrangement was as shown here. I was expecting overflow into the settler (please also note i completed a chop with no maths, therefore 20hammers) this turn. However, i seem to have lost all the overflow.

Anyone have any idea where or are they gone permanently? If they're definitely gone - due to a bug??, and France is reloading, which it looks like- would it therefore be bad form for me to change our tile arrangement and work scientists to not waste the population?

If this *IS* deemed a bug that the hammers vanished by the powers that be, i could just ask morgan to nto end turn for 2mins whilst i re-arrange tiles. I would never request a reload for this but if it's happening anyway.

If this is me being thick of course, then please say so and we'll take it on the chin.

what do you mean by missing overflow? If you didn't whip numbers look close enough to me i.e. You got 20 hammers from the chop + some from the overflow + this turns hammers. All this combined is probably 36 hammers this turn.

Well, i'm aware you're probably right and i'm being silly. I was expecting 9 overflow.

3 surplus food
7 hammers from tiles
-1 hammer for worker = 9?

I've probably misunderstood how the food conversion would work. I.e. you can't overflow the hammers produced from food surplus?

another 9 hammers this turn + 20 from chop. I was expecting 38.

You know what. That difference is so small i'm going to stop being a pleb and whining about it. I would appreciate confirmation on where i'm going wrong though for learnings sake.
