Carthage as such did fine I'd say , but pick EXP along with it. Or ORG -- cothons can't replace courthouses, as I've learnt, just supplement them. NumCav are powerful, and I regret not putting them to better use.

With Krill and Dtay's posts a concession to GJ may be possible. I'm not comfortable doing it myself.

My only consolation is that I was not in the running to win this game anyway, so it did not really matter. Still, I was so bad in this game, that, basically, presented nothing more than a moderate difficulty training exercise for DS. Seriously, check his thread, take a note of all I did and make a point not to do the same shit ever in your games.
(I lost the battle for his capital. Oromos are monsters.)
Also, my congrats to DS. I do not think I can objectively evaluate his skill level at that point. A large part of me wants to lose to a good player but he did make mistakes, especially in the first war. But I admire his spirit, the way, he never folded under pressure but kept fighting. I wish my first game on RB was that good.
That's a concession in my book.

The only party that seems interested in continuing.

Just to be clear, I'm perfectly willing to concede GermanJoey the game if everyone else does; at this rate, that might happen before I get eliminated.
Concession would help him reach his goal of not dying before the game ends.

Don't think this game is winnable except through pretty egregious GJ misplays, and also probably a dogpile. No need to keep dragging people to the turn every day just to play out the string (though honestly it is a pretty fun string, another war beckons!).
I think Krill's concession is also needed, so lurkers should probably go about determining that in some non-changing-the-outcome-way (something like if Krill has been talking confident they shouldn't indicate to him I'm willing to concede, but pretty sure he'll think he's out of it).

I really wanted to post that in Dark Savant's thread, but it was probably spoilerish even before I went looking for examples of his attackers' reasoning. Hopefully he finds it useful whenever he joins us here, though. He's got all the pieces required to be a strong MP player except for MP experience and perspective. I definitely want to see him try another game with the lessons learned from this one.
I'm catching up on threads I haven't been able to read.
And yeah -- I felt all along that I actually got off to a strong start, then blew things hard in early-to-mid Classical for a multitude of reasons already mentioned, to the point where "missing the Great Lighthouse by one turn" probably doesn't even make top five of things that went wrong at around that time.
