What are you currently playing?

Here are named all the most famous games. I'm currently playing in The Last of Us: Left Behind, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Dishonored 2. But after reading review on about series of Batman, I was burning of desire to play this. Althought I always heard about this there, but just now I've decide to try Batman: Arkham City, Arkham Origins and Arkham Knight.

I briefly thought that was all one game title smile

I'm not usually an FPS guy and am playing on easy mode so can't really offer insight into the combat, but am having a blast exploring the station and following all the side quests - esp. tracking down those last few hidden bodies.

However, for the next couple of weeks I expect to be playing "wrapping ~57billion Christmas presents so the kids can have a Magical Time™"....  rolleye

I recently finished Prey, and it's one of my favorite games in a while. I played on hard, but I honestly wouldn't recommend it. The enemies get piles of health, so you can boost yours to compensate, and I found combat just became a slug fest. On the other hand, it really works thematically. You find yourself eager to explore but dreading what you'll find. Usually you hear the creepy crawlies before you see them too...

During the recent Steam sale, I picked up the "slapstick comedy stick-figure wild west adventure role-playing game" West of Loathing (Metacritic 86) and just finished it.
While certainly not the most creative in terms of combat mechanics, the dialogue is hilarious and some of the jokes are really really funny if you like a certain kind of humor. lol

I daresay after watching the trailer you will know if this might be a game for you:

Drive on Moscow: War in the Snow; I picked it up for a fiver, buy would say well worth the full price if you are either new to wargames or have someone to play with. Design is by Ted Raicer, an accomplished author in the genre, and he made a nice little system originally for tablet. The full campaign covers the period from early October 1941 through early Jan 1942, during which period German panzers came within 14 km of the city Moscow and then got knocked back several hundred km in the first, and, for a while, the only successful strategic offensive operation by the Red Army. There are three shorter scenarios, which allow to experience the campaign notarize and without the legendary rasputitsa -- the period in Russia between the start of heavy rains and before the onset of frost. Rasputitsa literally means "de-roading", and in the full campaign falls in the turns 6-11.

There also multi-player, happy to have a go.

I have been playing the currently quite popular Early Access version of "Slay the Spire" and found it very enjoyable (even though I failed to beat it so far rant wink ).

From the games' website: "We fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire!"

The game is currently $15.99 but is supposed to become more expensive later on.
Check out Northernlion's "Let's Play" if you think you might enjoy a roguelike singleplayer deckbuilding game! smile

Speaking of early release games, has anybody else tried out They Are Billions? I'm having quite a lot of fun at watching towns I build up get destroyed by hordes of zombies

I read a bit about it and watched a video, since it has become so popular recently. In general, I am a big fan of base building and tower defense games, but usually I like to ponder my defense setup in peace. jive
Part of TAB's gameplay seems to be that you are under constant time pressure to build your base and expand while clearing the map, if I understand correctly?
Sounds a bit too stressful for my taste... lol

Oh yes, that would be very stressful! Thankfully they have a pause command, which I make frequent use of lol

I'm closing in on 250 hours in They Are Billions, unfortunately it becomes less fun as you figure out the One Right Build (which I think will always be there in a game with no multiplayer, and AI - by design - being stupid and only strong in numbers)
