New Civ4 Pitboss (38?)

PB27 on a cylinder with 24 players is basically PB37/PB16 on a cylinder with bigger islands.

In need to know if toroidal is off limits or not. If the map is cylindrical, then I can only guarantee that someone will be piggy in the middle or you play a weird variant of inland sea with islands.
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23

Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6:  PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

Toroid might be doable...only if the map is otherwise as natural as a Miss Amish Country pageant.

I think OH basically has the parameters right / fairly summarized. The tldr is basically most people are good with something pretty similar to pb27 (large astro islands optional/aside).

And commodore accepted a toroid!

I can do that, and it'll definitely look natural, no vomited spaghetti map.

what village/town change? and what other change? let's please not change anything big at the last minute.

a map suggestion: essentially, make a cylindrical map, then chop off the ice at the north/south poles and set the map to wrap toroidal. that should give all the fairness advantages of the toroid while still making it easy to think/talk about the geometry.

That workboats don't need fishing to be built. Fishing is still needed to work water tiles, but it means you don't get fucked if you get a seafood start and no fishing.

The village/town change is basically a no brainer, it even fixes the airpower pillaging resource problem.
