For PBEM as long as you order the players based on windows of opportunity, you can get a turn done in 24HRs. This works with six or less players.

Right, but I still think that sadly it might not be for me. I can all but guarantee I'll have a window of opportunity once during a Pitboss turn, even if traveling, busy at work, etc. But I may not have a guaranteed window during the same time each day. I think PBEM works great for people that know they can play between, say, 2:00-4:00pm each day, but works much worse for people with more random schedules.

sunrise, you are 100% correct on the difference between PBEM and simultaeous pitboss there. Offtopic a bit perhaps, but 2-3 city elimination would be fantastic for our standard pitboss games too. It encourages war and I think most of us want to see some action if we play the game for a year.

I don't think people are interested in a team game. Pity, but can't really force people to play in these games

Part of the reason PBEM would be better is that the No score mod would be a useful addition to this game, and pitboss is awful for using mods.

I thought only real difference was potentially slower pace in PBEM and no arguments about double moves. I can see Sunrise's PoV in regards to when you can play also.
