PB38 rules are fine with me. Also fine with quick speed, but if we do normal, and there are only 8 of us, maybe there is a chance to do a blitz session early on to play through the first 10-15 turns.

If we decide to allow map trading we need to use the 2.0.8.3 mod instead of the 2.0.8.4 mod used in PB 38.
I agree with yuris that map trading should be allowed at Paper like in bts.

Map trading at Paper is fine with me.
@Krill: I think we`re going for the usual ancient start in this one. Maybe PB40 could feature a classical start?

idc on map trading, i would like to try Snake-pick, if possible. But its not a Huge deal to me.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

If you haven't found any other mapmaker and are confirmed as 8 players, I could take a shot at creating the map as I have some spare time on my hands this weekend. Input from other people to help with the balancing will be needed, though.

Thanks for the offer to make us a map! I think we`re pretty much set on 8 players as this thread has been active for a few weeks and a last call for more players has been done already.

In that case, could a subforum be set up?

I spent one afternoon and evening doing the map. Thus, the signups are closed now.
