Observe that I asked for a low sea level map... Specifically because of that.

Krill, I'm happy with that approach. I would ask that every player can find every other player without Astro, but that's usually not a problem on big&small.
I think Big & Small is a lovely script, so I'm happy with its water content. The continents are big enough that they don't feel like archipelagos. It'll have a big ole equatorial band of jungle, but that comes with the naturalism bit.
There is no way to peace. Peace is the way.

I am fine with Big & Small, and with Krill's approach to it. I agree with Gavagai on the low sea level setting for this script, if possible.

Krill's method is fine. I'm ok with Gavagai's suggestion about low sea level, and Nauf's suggestion that we not need astro to make all contacts too. Just keep it playable and not too wildly unbalanced and I'll be ok. Will I gripe about the map? Oh yes, but no more or less than usual...unless it is PB11 levels of some guys settle uncontested islands into infinity while others slog out of the jungle. You wouldn't do that. Right? Right??
Thanks for offering to roll a map for us.

Speaking as a player, a map maker and a lurker, I haven't done my job right unless each player has a different complaint about the map.

FYI - looks like consensus. Krill, I'm happy to be a pair of opinionated eyes, or just a lurker, whichever you prefer.
Someone ought to request a subforum. Draft leaders now or wait for starting screenshots?

I still regret giving you a settler in PB38

Mardoc, I've rolled a few maps. Going to roll a few more but got one candidate already. Once I've got something worth a look at by a second pair of eyes I'll shoot it over to you, OK? I'm working from Friday this week until Friday next week, so either I have something work looking at tomorrow, or around the 6th November. I'm thinking tomorrow tbh, not like this map process enables much editing...

Sure, that works. On scope: we're looking for strategics, overall screwed-ness, and the capital sites, and nothing else, right? I know you're generally better than me at making capitals so I won't expect to find anything noteworthy there.
If I'm feeling ambitious I can start sprinkling anti-GW forests on peaks and out-of-the-way oceans, or maybe help with screenshots/leader-picking while you're working.

That's all I'm looking at. I'm rejecting maps that have players cramped between two neighbours and other players have 300 tiles to expand into.

The map is done, minus checks.
It will need checking for mistakes though, and if Mardoc thinks I am insane, he is probably right.
