I agree with mackoti and would consider settling there even without finding anything new. The western tiles are useless.
A plains sheep isn't *that* much better than a riverside mine provided you already have sufficient food when getting workers/settlers. You would gain a lot of riverside tiles (and forests too it seems).
Just for the record I am unspoiled and have not seen any other starts/read the lurker thread.

Bad tiles they might be mack, but these are the tiles we have. And this is the general land quality level for this map. Moving might make the capital marginally better, but those land tiles aren't going anywhere.
Any move would have to uncover a sheep plus another food resource. And it would have to be a Hunting resource. This city can still make a good HE city, capable of building 1 turn HA and 1 turn knights. This map type will never allow super science city play styles.

We can definitely scout there T0. If there are river tiles though, the look to be plains. I'm unconvinced that moving away from that sheep makes sense though: SiP allows the pig to be split off for a wide number of city locations to the NE, but settling with the pig inner ring gives only two legitimate locations to share the pig with a city that also picks up that sheep, and they are not a river side locations.

(As an addendum, this map will be browner than PB41. A lot browner. I ought to post the map generation settings in the PB41 forum so I can talk about it fairly here).

My instinct as someone who has played thousands of shitty maps like these (most in SP, but some in MP too) is to move. But SiP can't be bad. I don't know how much the map is edited though.
The river looks to be bending east to me, meaning another river tile or two in the fog if moving.

What we know is that Mardoc has hand built the starts. We don't know if they are mirrored. This start has low enough tech requirements it could be mirrored and all the other civ picks would still make sense.

It is also worth noting that the last game I played in I got absolutely slated by the other players for ruining the game after moving away from what was at the time considered a balanced start. And that was a junk start, but this is actually usable even if it can't really use cottages.

here you move 1 turn, and that was a map handmade with special checkpoints, from what i understund this one is a natural maps so no such thing posible. If i was in your place i would check and decide after wards, if everithing there are plain hils then no, if there are some grasland tiles and some river or a resouce i would move.

We can scout the plains forest hill first, I'll post the screenshot once the game goes up.
