OK, game is live, and this is what we see:
This looks good.
Mardoc still owes me a plains cow. Lets go look for it, but the incense and grassland and plains hill 2S are freshwater, so that is a lake down there. We have a bit of land available, so I reckon we are either on a big, or a very globular small.
This is dry, that's a desert down there. Not interested in scouting it right now, so I'm 100% behind scouting NE. And this is what we see...
I count 9 grassland tiles (4 river, 5 not), plus that flood plain. 3 plains hills (all river), 2 grassland hills (neither river), and 3 further plains tiles (2 river). Plus the pig and plains hill sheep. 9 forests.
SiP has 5 grasslands (2 river), plus the flood plain. 4 plains hills (3 river), 1 grass hill (not river), and 3 plains tiles (none river), desert incense and 2 lakes. Plus the pig, plains hill sheep, and the plains sheep.
The new capital location can run 15 cottages, two plains hill mines and a windmill if nothing else turns up in the fog. It is by far a better cottage capital.
I'll upload a sim to see what we can do with the micro, but I'm not sure we want to head to BW if we move teh settler (except no other options spring to mind). Maybe worker at size 2?

I'm not doing any simulations, but to me that is a clear move. As expected the river bended east (although only 1 tile) meaning a lot of river. River capital is key on natural maps.
+8 food when working best tiles on size 3 is enough to grow without problems. The plains sheep is not essential. Plenty of grass cottages to run before having to lower surplus food too. And for workers/settlers/wonders there are river mines.
edit: and who knows, your plains cow could be in the fog too.

So the basics of a plan, around growing to size 4, single whipping the worker (naufrager, as EXP it's still worth it) and then double chopping out two settlers gets the settlers eot30 and eot34. That still leaves 5 forests but clears the riverside tiles for cottages, and has a third tile improvement down (plains hill mine, basically gets improved before BW finishes and there is nothing else for the worker to do).
It's slower than SiP, but by around a turn and a bit (the plains hill sheep is hooked a turn slower than the plains sheep due to location, stuck using a plains hill mine versus a plains sheep.
The real slowdown will occur between this point and T50, because it will take 2 extra turns to grow to size 5. So I reckon the only way to play a move is exactly as implied: get BW, rush to Pottery, (double)chop a granary and turn the excess worker turns into cottages on the deforested tiles. Keep the capital at size 3. This probably does work better with two settlers pushed out ASAP then allow the capital to rebuild its own workers which can build the road network to the new cities as they are built up by the first two workers.

I'll wait for mack to chime in but I'm OK with the move. Have to find somewhere else to build the HE, as this is likely to be an OU.

I'll build a spreadsheet microplan in a bit to track the first 30 turns (for ease of playing the turn), but I'm not going to play the turn until a bunch of other people have played. Don't want them to get jittery if they see us moving.

Yeah, they look right. But diplo victory is enabled, is it supposed to be? I don't think it matters because Religious victory is off due to removal from the XML IIRC. And the map is wrong, I can't see a plains cow anywhere.

Fun fact: Religious VC is actually what made me quit MP ~8-9 years ago. It was a game hosted on CFC where I had managed to get myself into a completely winning position when suddenly someone was randomly chosen religious leader ending the game. I was so disgusted I never joined another PB there.
In hindsight I could've started playing here instead, but oh well.
