Looking for group: new boardgames appreciation

Running list of interest
Waterloo (Wallace)
Mombasa
Three Kingdoms Redux
Brass (L or B)
Concordia
Great Western Trail
7th Continent
Antike
Other Martin Wallace games

There seems to be an endless stream of high quality board games coming out that I would love to try via the tabletop simulator or its oldschool granddaddy Vassal (only once 4 comes out, really). I am interested in the mechanics and design decisions as much as the raw game experience, and RB seems to be just the crowd with which to both play and discuss new titles. Over time, we had a good run with spots of Brass, Twilight Struggle, and some other things being played. I think there was a tabletop simulator thread, but I don't remember it getting much traction, maybe there's interest to come back to it with a more determinate agenda in mind. If there any games you want to try, but never have time to/people to play with/dont care to play with anonymous, shoot a list below.

My current titles of interest are:
Games by Martin Wallace: Waterloo, any of the deckbuilder trilogy, Steam
Mac Gerdts: Concordia, Antike II
Newish releases: Great Western Trail, 7th Continent, Mombasa, Clans of Caledonia

Really want to try Mombasa

Great Western Trail is a fine game, but gets samey rather fast. Can be rough on first time players, when up against even just 1-2 time players.

Mombasa is very nice, with a lot of different playstyles being valid, but can be hard to grasp the first time round. Realy helps to have the physical game to study after a playthrough.

Depending on timing, I could be up for a some boardgaming.

Also depending on timing I could be up for some boardgaming. On my list of things I would like to try for:

Three Kingdoms Redux
Brass (not exactly new but recently re-released).

I have enjoyed Martin Wallace games in the past so I would be down to play Waterloo.

Brass is one of my favourite games, I played a game of Birmingham just two days gone, and I am always happy to show people the game. Three Kingdoms also looks interesting, but looks like it may well take north of a year asynchrously.

Brass has an absolutely top-notch browser implementation, but for Lancashire only: http://brass.orderofthehammer.com/

For Three Kingdoms I doubt it would take quite that long asynchronously since after the bidding phase everyone can just resolve their actions simultaneously. Regardless, I was thinking tabletop simulator as I picked up the DLC on a sale.  My one time playing in person it took 3-4 hours to play though. Would be less if people were familiar with the rules in advance.

I would appreciate an intro to Brass.  There are some people in the local gaming group that play it but without backgrounds it's always hard to just "jump in".

Also if anyone has interest in any of the 18xx games those would be fun.  Now there is a game that will take up to a year to finish asynchronously.

The next 2 weeks are bad for me due to midterms Valentine's day etc.  However my spring break is in mid March so I could set aside time for a tabletop simulator game.

I'm interested, but I'm likely too busy in the coming weeks, at least until mid-to-late March.

One game my board game group and I really like at the moment is Architects of the West Kingdom, which also has a free online version, it seems: https://tabletopia.com/games/architects-...st-kingdom (Never heard of this tabletopia site before, I found it googling to find out whether Architects is available for tabletop simulator.) The basic idea is standard eurogame fare: Every turn, you place a worker on some location on the board and gain the corresponding resource or do the corresponding action; your goal is to score VPs by constructing building cards. The more workers you already have on a location, the bigger your gains become when you place another one there. The fun part is this: One of the actions is to capture all the workers that another player has in one location, so that you can later ransom them for money!

By the way, I also just saw that Tabletop Simulator is 50% off on Steam, but today is the last day. Just in case anyone else doesn't have it yet!

Tabletopia is quite cool, it's more legit that TTS, can be free, and playable in a browser, which is really handy.

What do you mean by legitimate? Are there unlicensed DLCs for TTS or something?

DLC are all legit, but the Steam Workshop is full of pretty much any game.
