Hi - can I get a pause? My civ computer is not connecting to the Internet and I can't figure it out. Hoping that I can fix it by tomorrow.

I'm timing out on login, but I am also having other problems, so it might be just me.
I talked to da_Vinci about subbing for me and sent him the game details, but haven't heard back from him in a couple of days.

Hi all,
Of course the game goes down for the first time on my FIOS connection (6 weeks or so of uptime wasn't too bad) literally two hours after I leave for the airport to fly to Florida for a wedding.
I've called Verizon and they tell me the Optical Network Terminal isn't talking to them, so there are two possibilities here:
1) the terminal needs to be reset, which sadly won't be able to happen until Monday morning, or...
2) the fiber optic cable is unplugged because Verizon is finally burying me a permanent cable and removing the temporary one running along the surface of my and my neighbor's (!) yard. The timing suggests it may be this option since I called and bugged Verizon about this Thursday morning and because the service has otherwise been reliable.
If it ends up being option 2 you can expect the internet to return in a few hours. If it's option 1 than I'm very sorry the timing is so bad, but we'll have to reload back to today's turn on Monday.

Some things can't be helped, I guess.
Since there's a chance that I won't see the game before I go off on holiday, can one of the people who did log in this turn let me know if I managed to grab the Space Elevator last turn, or if it got randomised away from me? It'll bug me a little all week if I don't know...
