Superdeath has met others. He stopped at 44 EPs. I am stopping at 46EPs. We both have charts on each other.
The new grid lines look really cluttered at 1 point per line ... and I was going to suggest an enhancement to enable the user to select the step value. Until I saw the SCALING drop down ... which lets the user select the step value - well done Charriu.
Superdeath picked up BW last turn. And he started with a workboat and 5 hammers per turn to knock it out faster.
And here is my copper - not in the BFC. Mauve dot will be my first city. Part of what killed me last turn was NOT settling for copper straight off.
My tracker is slowly stepping through the hills around Rome. From some fog gazing, I don't think I will get a glimpse at Rome even if I step onto the pigs. And there appears to be forest all around those pigs, so the next two turns will be 1 tile per.
PLAN
18 = Fishing in 4 ... worker chopping
19 = ...
The plan for the next few turns is ...
Tech - fishing, wheel, pottery, archery
Build - worker, tracker (unless I can get my original tracker back home), settler, warrior (archer if I have the tech)
Trackers give me 1 culture per turn ... half str cultural trait.
I might sim it out in a private game.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Bah ... forget simming in a game. Here is excel ...
Naturally, this assumes that my math matches the actual game. I will monitor and adjust.

Netted fish, started worker, tech on wheel, W1 is chopping. Met FT who could kill my tracker.
Miguelito (India) had a size 4 capital, swapped to slavery and double whipped (a worker?).
And I can get my tracker (assuming he is alive next turn) back to Mauve Dot in time. I can't say if I will exactly follow that route ... might select slightly different tiles to reveal a little bit more of the map.
Edit: Tracker lives!
I have mostly finished my turn ... left my warrior unmoved as SuperDeath needs to play his warrior first.

City placement discussion coming up ... as soon as I finished walking Cirrus (L).
Firstly ... Mauve Dot (1R or spices) ... I want it on a hill. Superdeath will attack me at some point and I want the +25% defensive bonus. More so for arrow based defenders. Options for Mauve-dot are the current selection or on the copper. Both command good visibility and have two rows of flat land in front of them. Ideal counter attack location.
That leaves Red-dot. Third city and I want it to be able to share food with the capital. Options are current location, one tile West or one tile North West. One tile West won't allow for a panama canal. Depending on how long I live, a panama canal might be critical for future navel battles, relocating land forces and general flexibility.
Any comments on city placements or an option that I have missed?

And the route home ... for future reference.

My sim spreadsheet was wrong with known pre-req bonuses. I am putting 15 beakers into Archery instead of the 13 that I had in the spreadsheet.
Also ... I am not sure if a single 'scale' option will work when more than one chart is being displayed.
And why do I bother to plan a route home. First a religion inspired border pop means I can't move onto the copper ... and than an animal gets in the way .
Finally, I am pretty sure that Superdeath will be doing his own version of Mauve Dot ... on a hill overlooking two rows of flat, riverless tiles. I will be watching his copper to see when it gets mined. I wonder if he will be settling towards me ... or the copper first?
