This could get interesting. Superdeath has decided to settle towards me ... and forgo his copper at the moment. That is what I did (skipped settling for copper) in my prior game and Superdeath spanked me for it.
He has two warriors near my 2nd city and could move to that forest hill before I can get a unit on it. Worker on copper is roading, will be finished next turn.
T34-Me: [current turn - see picture for situation] Section 31 grows in 4
T34-SD: WAR Declaration: W1 move to riverside forest, W2 with setter moves
T35-Me: Section 31 grows in 3, Copper worker fins road, warrior out of capital, capital worker finishes mine, hammers into archer
T35-SD: W1 move to roaded hill forest, W2 moves into my territory
T36-Me: Section 31 grows in 2, Copper worker moves into city, archer moves to attack W1 on forest hill, capital starts archer
T36-SD: W1 pillages road (?), W2 moves to copper
T37-Me: Section 31 grows in 1, archer kills W1 (will have warrior out of capital to mop up if required)
T37-SD: W2 pillages road on copper(?)
T38-Me: Section 31 whips archer, two warriors and capital archer remove warrior on copper
T38-SD: panics(?)
Q: What does the star mean on the city screen against the archer? I don't get a star if I hover over a warrior or tracker.
And I prefer no grid lines for screenshots.

I didn't invent the star. It belongs to one of the BUG features, but I rarely use it. Need to look it up.
You can set the default (On/Off) for grid lines in the BUG menu.

Yeah ... I was looking for that but wasn't sure which tab. I also found that you can turn them on / off by clicking on the TURNS / SCORE words on the left. A little bit cryptic, by ok.

The star is promotion. You get +3 exp from totem pole so your archers will come out with 1 promo.

Superdeath double moved me. Again.
But not to worry, he double moved that warrior back to his new city.
Forget all this ...

Thanks for that. I noticed an archer in my capital has no start (no XP either) while an archer in my 2nd city has a star (totem pole).

Hmmm ... Superdeath could have brought up a third warrior into his second city ... and double moved the warrior near me into the fog ... I hate double moves.
Edit: Superdeath also revolted to Slavery this turn.

Oh I was not aware that BUG also shows this in foreign culture. I think this needs to be removed in the future.

Check that it isn't in the base game. I think you will find that it is.
