He flat out can't do that.
1) He can't just declare that he is taking the second half, especially since you played after him this turn.
2) He can't send that PM.

Thanks for hte heads up?
Does this mean I'm supposed to double move him now? It means he doesnt understand multiplayer wars quite yet. Ill see what his thought process was...

I sent a snarky response:

Isn't it fine for the defending player to double-move?

There is no defending player right now. We were also considering declaring war on the first available turn as well which would make us the "attacker." It's a race condition, which means the current turn order should be respected if there is contention.
Sending an illegal PM doesn't change that.

Yeah, the big problem in my mind is you can look at this 2 ways:
1) there is no defending player, so both players have same entitlement to declare war when enforced peace is up
2) hostilities never ended despite peace being signed so the turn order should be kept the same
And like I said in the last turn report, we were discussing declaring and then offering immediate peace to lock in 10 turns.
We really don't have a rule for the edge case where two players are looking to declare war for each other on the same turn. Usually it's been the declarer gets perrogative of pickign the side of the turn they want, but what if both people want to declare on the same turn?
It's all kind of moot, I'm probably going to just let it slide and let him have the 2nd half just so he won't throw a scene. Because I'm going to mess his stuff up regardless.

Yeah, I don't disagree the PM is illegal, but wouldn't MJMD waiting out until the end of the next turn been fine?

If you have to intentionally wait out the Pitboss timer, you are doing something wrong.

I'm considering conceding/dropping out.
Despite the tough talk, if Mjmd puts everything I've seen plus 10-15 rifles in one stack then it will be very tough. It will require whipping everywhere again and be very stressful. This whole game has been stressful.
In addition I woke up in the middle of the night sneezing due to all this smoke we have. Then I couldn't get back to sleep and my thoughts bouncing between the fires and this game. So I'm operating on half a nights sleep today
