(Spoilers) Churchill's Old General Death

Lord of the Civ messaged each of us, wondering about subbing in on a perm basis for Stalin... Stalin isnt doing TERRIBLE from the scoreboard, so i mentioned that i would provided it wasnt a "well he quit because all his neighbors just declared" kinda thing. Waiting on a response.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

DO IT! We were getting reports from some people in the lurker thread about the global game, and then it dried up.......

Stalin is close to two empires who have a chance to win the game. So far he is doing OK though.

Well, just waiting on a response. And/Or the password and hopefully some actual time to check it out

So anyway.. This will be a VERY long post. Lots of images, lots of bitching, but at least im not playing a OCC game anymore. So long CoCo the Assalonians.

Ivory is in short supply and im already giving one away to one of the Egyptian players for 17gpt. However... since War Ele's are naturally SUPER STRONG without any nerfs, im not giving up my last supply for anything right now. Ill get into specifically why towards the end of this post, most of this will be about the sorry state this player left the Russian empire in.

ALMOST half of the cities have partial builds.
Every build in the build queue has a couple turns worth of hammers in them. Dont know HOW that is smart exactly. I had to fix several cities by starting GRANARIES and libraries over all these partial unit builds.

When i logged in, there were 3-4 monuments being built and the rest were units.

Mind, it IS deity... but still. Also missing archery and while HA's arent as good as Un-nerfed WE's... they are still nice 2-movers. Goal right now is Obviously currency. Question is how to get there? Do we A: slowly research it with scientist spec's? Or do we B: pop a GS and bulb alphabet and mass build research? Im leaning the 2nd option.

You might notice we are 2nd in a category. You might also notice our GNP. If you are Really Keen you might notice that Stalin has no economic traits, and also didnt grab Metal Casting for his cheap forges.

So Stalin according to the admin for this game, is in a "cold" war with india.

Because SOMEHOW this axe is right here seeing everything and hasnt been killed yet. Also while this picture is up... India has 3-4 cities left, is playing Gandhi so no eco-traits, how long till he Strikes-Out? He HAS to be losing money if we are. Right?

If you get the great scientist it is likely more efficient to get currency by sacrificing it for a ga. Depends how much production you have.

Selling the elephants is probably the better move considering Stalin's economy misery.

Maybe? Trouble is, while that Might be the better choice... its not a guarenteed way of getting to currency from what i can see. I currently lose 200+ gpt at 100% science and as i dont have enough gold to do even 1t of research at full speed.. and it takes currently 2t at 100% science to research currency............ Its not looking great. If i had an economy worth a damn, id just build an academy somewhere nice and keep on teching. Where's OH when u need him lol

Most of their signs are being just straight up deleted as they look rather old, and the previous player made bad decisions anyway... so following their signs doesnt sound like a good idea. I did figure out that Hutte more or less means cottage! lol
