No, but I need to make sure that Cyneheard can't slip through a GA and a settler, plant, and then bomb. That could cut off my front cities, steal tiles so they can't grow, and in the long term wear them down to 1 tile junk that costs me money.

OK, this is what I'm planning on doing...
This is where I'm going to settle on the mirror side. I settle A in 4 turns, B in 3, C in 4, and D in 6 ( maybe less).
However, Cyneheard might "steal" the corn...I don't really care though, I'll just have to try and shove as much culture into the city as possible. I want it as a block, not as a good city.
And this is where everything is "in theater"

Has cyneheard spotted your worker/settler train yet? Looks like you're going to grab a pretty chunk of "his" half if things go according to plan.

Not yet...and Cyneheard has a grand total of 2 turns to stop me getting sites B and C. Site D gets settled next turn. Site A is the really aggressive one, I should be able to settle that on t128, in a further 5 turns. That is the key site, and I'm not sure if he has settled it... I can't see why he would though, it has no food and a shit load of jungle, not an appetizing city location, and he does not yet have seemed to have grasped (way too many verbs there) how important settling forward is...
But you might like this screen shot:
Cyneheard is settling forward. He is claiming the Moia site...and just as he tells me this I'm starting to figuratively shit my pants. Has he seen my settler train/ Has he seen the fuck off massive road to take his important cottage cities? No, he is heading for a frigging moia city? OK, it has 2 fish...but big deal. That is a huge strategic error IMO, hopefully I can make him pay for it. And any reservations I had about settlign into his half of the map suddenly evaporated

Night shift, have been for the past month, now I'm back on days. It's how we've played so many speed sessions, we've both been available from midnight until about 3am BST.
Although the latter is also correct

I think I'll get all of the cities in the north, question is the southern cities...Cyneheard knows I'm blocking him in, and that I'm roading through the jungle in the middle of no where.

Cyneheard made the smart play IMO, trying to culturally crush XX...he settled such that he can immediately chop out the terrace. I'm going to chop and irrigate XX, and try to slave out a terrace and monument asap as well. Also need to get Meditation and some monasteries up asap...
I also need city names for UU, VV, WW, and XX (and shortly YY/ZZ). I'm freshoutta ideas, so it is up to you lurkers to name them...
