Does India have cannons? If not, I think an Immortal AI would crumble. Keep in mind India's stacks aren't THAT big compared to Immortal/Deity AI, and the human has essentially tech parity or maybe better siege.

Leave it to the players to decide: it isn't our game.

*shrug* don't cheat in the first place, or don't cheat and then throw a tantrum when you get called on it.

Making an honest and reasonable interpretation of the rules that happens to differ from yours is not typically called "cheating". Or do you actually mean that you believe they KNEW the same-turn-city-gift was illegal and deliberately sought to obtain an advantage from it? (That being the usual meaning of the term.)

*shrug* perhaps cheating isn't the right word, I'm trying to think of how best to describe breaking ones word. Lying? Backstabbing? What would be the best way to describe that?

I'm not talking about the rules arguments here, but the way S&S spoke with the rest of the players in the emails, when they refused a reload, to delete or exchange units, and offered that hundred gold.

EDIT (just to make sure): I agree with you that calling them cheaters for the rule breakage is probably way wrong.

Remember that the city gift didn't actually happen. It's only relevant because their defense for breaking the rules was that the illegal move sequence they did would have had approximately the same result as some other sequence involving a gift.

That's indeed my point. (Specifically, that this is crucial to determining the impact and therefore appropriate response.)

I think at this point, there isn't any reason for the game to go on. I mean, it's pretty much over, and one of the few teams still in has resigned. Maybe I'm being pessimistic, but why should this game continue?

Now with Sullla and Speaker resigned, depending on how the players want to replace them, others might have a chance to win again. That's something that might make them want to play. It's not like India was terribly close to reaching an in-game win condition, others just didn't think they could catch up at this point. Anyway, I agree with Krill, let the players decide what they want to do.

Looks like Krill in a surprise twist wins PB2.
