Pitboss games should become more popular again once the current rule discussion has produced a set of results that can serve as a baseline for future games.

Other than that, PBEM games don't require a dedicated host so they're easier to set up. smile

This is the main factor for me. And the double rule nonsense is not appealing. If someone started a no rules PB, I'd be more interested in that.

Sorry for the double post. I'm looking for someone to sub for me for next week in PBEM 7. My plans for Civ access while at the beach took a turn for the south. Hopefully I will have a plan laid out and the first turn played before I leave. Otherwise, major decisions can be sent to me via email with a screen shot. I will have full internet and email acces all week. Anyone interested?

You guys do realize that any game started now is going to run well past the release of Civ 5, right? Are you all prepared for a large chunk of players to lose interest and drop out come October?

Personally, I can't afford a new machine to play Civ5 so it probably won't affect me directly but I do understand that others may drop out.
