Congrats! I generate the equivalent of about $100 from solar. The problem is the rules here mean I buy at retail and sell at wholesale. What’s it like in the UK?

Rules in the UK: everything has to be installed to code, and retailers are required by law to offer an export tariff. Most are dreadful and way below wholesale hence increasing usage of batteries.

Simply the import at night is cheaper than the export in the day. Good attempt to break the duck curve.

Covid medical mandates and losing the right to own a fossil fuel burning car both directly fall under that. You're not even arguing that it's not fascism, you just like the fascism when it agrees with you.

Fascism is a far-right, authoritarian, ultranationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

I'll bold the other part of that for you.  Which party is the one forcibly applying cancel culture to everything?  Which party is the one destroying individual interests regarding everything like firearms, fossil fuels, economic value and prosperity via taxes and socialism, and even lives of the unborn?

You forgot to bold race and social hierarchy and show how that applies yo the Democrats.

Don't forget that the Democratic party would fit nicely in with the various right-wing parties in Europe, while the Republican party would be one of the far-right fringe protest parties that occasionaly surge to 10% on single issue support. There really isn't anything resembling a left wing party.

I'm pointing out that the USA is capable of suppressing any inconvenient dissent, and that the PRC isn't the cold-war-propaganda-tier bogeyman either.

Any comparisons beyond that are both pointless and meaningless.

This is absolutely not true on social issues - the Democrats' track record of being inclusive of trans people would compare favorably to, say, Labour.

For health care, the US is so backwards that, yes, the Affordable Care Act looks ridiculous when compared to Europe - but not when compared to the pre-2010 US system. Saying "the Dems' health care plans are to the right of Europe" is like saying "Margaret Thatcher is a socialist because the UK had nationalized industries on her watch" - local context matters.

The supreme court has repeatedly upheld that the government can intercede in matters for the health of the nation. I will also very much argue that 1 million deaths and many more certain if we had done nothing is not "perceived".

Should we still allow asbestos? Of course not. Should the government allow alcohol to be sold as medicine? I could go on. Its not fascism.

I'll also note you still haven't actually given government laws or executive orders for forcible suppression of opposition. I however could give plenty of instances of Republican voter suppression. Its also a good thing Republicans never pick on minorities or try to overthrow the will of the people. (I know you didn't get the sarcasm, but yes yes they do).
