Just been killing time since.
Quote:(I'm 95% certain I'm not showing up with 3 chariots on T61 with almost no power graph warning against Gav and am only writing this for the regret I'll have later when he screws me over).
And a few more times I wrote I had no interest in ever attacking him. You know for the same reason he shouldn't want to attack me. The land sucks between us. Last turn sent crab for crab. No reply. And
I'm aware that chariot in PB62 isn't very good vs war chariots, but it has the advantage of being able to get there. A spear would take 2 more turns. Now did I have a chop lined up for the granary next turn that I would rather put it in. YEP. I also had a spear hanging out 1T from done in PB66 I now am finishing. SIGH.
Edit: I did resend crab for crab. We will see.

Dream the dream.
PB59 Dirty Old Town - Charriu land border city.
I um evidently probably dodged being snipped by OP America, but I did indeed get Pyramids! But ya who else could get a T80 great engineer......... Sigh I'm sure some idiot will use my beating it by spending tons of worker turns / chops / production overall and say America is fine. Wonder what he will use on instead. He has Colossus on lock without it (although he doesn't know that, so maybe). Anyways, I have what I need to be competitive if nothing bad happens.....
You say I'm being forced to do a whole bunch of inefficient city and worker management to fend off an entirely stupid attack by Gav? Ya he didn't return my peace signals so I guess we fight a war? Someone has HBR and I have 1 guess as to whom. Also, the forest east of Gavs holy city just disappeared. But I didn't come into the turn with a 2 mover stack SW of PB54 so I will get to whip an extra spear for each city. I suspect target is PB54 just because its flatland and will cut off PB66. Again there is a reason I chopped out the chariot in PB62 this turn even though it won't have odds on anything, just want the extra body. I probably should have moved PB66 warrior north last turn. Logged back in to move both after writing this, but then realized I shouldn't have because now I can't upgrade them!. I actually was already debating if the gold was just WAY more important than rebuilding a settler. It will still be nice having even fodder than can go to either city.
But ya look at the great land he will get if he wins! Look at his long supply chain. The obvious staging point is his holy city and because of the river even units built in his capital can't get there in 1 turn. And obviously his other cities are even farther. Have I mentioned he can only build mounted units so I can just spam spears? Oh and now that he has disrupted me I have reason to attack him should he decide to turn his mounted units another direction. WHICH HE SHOULD HAVE DONE TO BEGIN WITH. To be fair I think he may have thought I was building Mids in PB54 and now he has already committed to pissing me off so he might as well?
Anyways, hopefully I survive somewhat unscathed and can keep dreaming the dream. Get to settle another prophet next turn so that is something.
I will get around to your question Tarkeel. Original plan was this turn, but wonder and war stuff takes precedence.

You are aware that we can't actually read any of the city names due to signage?

Oh yes please change that naming theme. Call to Power was good, but why did you follow up with random numbers?

I may rename to capitals of said pitbosses, but haven't yet done.
PB65 Haul Away Bowline. SW border city with Pin. Build MoM. 4th ring culture popped just in time and ended up being crucial to keep control of a 1st ring tile of one of his.
I keep waiting to post thinking eventually he will actually invade. I'm reading that line from last turn as 3 units (with pop growth could be split of things), but again only 1 of those matters for the next 3 turns because of supply lines.
Which is good because mine suck too. I did manage to bring an axe and spear over that I originally thought would be too slow, but I'm really trying not to disrupt other parts of my empire. Instead I'm severely punishing the west. We keep switching who is first and second in turn order, which is actually how it should be if not actually at war (he keeps double playing as he has most of the game and to be clear that is good). I did whip PB54 one time when I was first in turn order and didn't have much yet. In hind site I am very much regretting of course. PB66 has been whipped and two forests chopped into spears. Its due for another single pop whip next turn as its most of my military production atm.
If I'm guessing ROUGHLY 10 units split between horse archers and war chariots I should easily be fine. I did move warriors back JUST IN CASE I want to upgrade. Gav did finally connect copper but I'm positive stack will be mounted. Not that I won't float my 1 axe just in case.
Its always possible he isn't going after me, but then why not return clam for clam and not have to defend your eastern flank? If he goes west he now has to worry about me. The obvious answer is he may have wanted me slow down by reacting, in which case mission accomplished. On the note of west I am trying to figure out if it is Superdeath or Rickety as direct neighbor. If its Rickety I will likely intervene. SDs power has been going up on pace with mine though.

2 HA and 7 WC showed up SW of PB54 and Gav declared. Vodka gives him 10% of razing. If he does his stack is dead, which seems like a good trade. Now we wait.

You know, you can just put "7" in the count column instead of adding 7 different but equal war chariots.
Pindi, Vodka is great as a baseline, but you can usually do better by checking which unit currently has the best odds. Vodka will just go from the top to the bottom of attackers. It's also possible to be fooled by the % as it only counts one round of combat. IE, a city defended by 2 warriors will show as 0% chance of losing against a single modern armor. Also, it works on base BTS so War Elephants currently don't really work.
