Ooh that's a neat idea!
I'd like to throw some of my own in there:
Luctor et Emergo: Struggle and Rise Above. The crede of the Dutch province of Zeeland, a reverence to their eternal struggle against the water (also check out their seal, it's a lion fighting it's way above the waves, it rules)
Per Aspera Ad Astra, Through Effort, to The Stars
More well known, still cool and geeky (aside from the well known use by NASA, also another crede used in the Netherlands, by the city of Gouda)
Taking a city and calling it Vae Victus or Delenda Est would also go hard.

On a side note none of my predictions panned out. I hope I catch some time today for a start analysis.

All those inital GPs are pretty weak. The merchant is fine, I guess. Certainly nothing to rush for it's own sake.
I very strongly prefer settler before builder here. Camps add gold, which is of fairly marginal value early. Further, with the plan to swap to the two 5 foodhammer tiles at pop 2, if we finish the warrior and go straight on to the settler, we'll grow simultaneously with the settler completing on t17, and can continue on to knock out a builder then.

You are going to be taking Commercial Hubs with this start anyway right? And it is one of the best Great Merchants in the early game. I have it on good authority that Trade routes are... good actually. Portugal is almost completely vanilla apart from the extra TR cap, and it is still one of the games best civs (just completed my fastest Science Victory ever with them, just oodles of gold in the endgame and huge, productive cities early game)

Hmm, you might have a point there. I am jumping the gun here, I have no monument and thus no early pantheon.

Turn 4
I notice a barb scout and cross the river. I wanted to go southwest, so this is lucky.
A barb camp!
